Liberty caps are found in pasture lands.

None of your specimens are libs.

Hold onto your hats...it's that time of year for relentless ID requests of random piles of shrooms.

They are not psilocybe and you need to put more effort into your ID request.

Do you have a mushroom field guide yet?

No I don't, sorry for wasting your time. This was my first time picking and I stored them in plastic bags which messed up the cone head. I took some neater picks should I show them before I discard the mushrooms? And what's a good field guide to buy? Sorry to be rude by showing these again I just spent a lot of time picking them

You are close....but not quite there. If you look at enough pictures of libs....you will probably know it when you see them. But when you create a post on this forum, it will provide you with the guidelines for how to make a proper ID request.

Field guides can only help so much, and they're often outdated, and lack many different species in certain genera.

When you make a collection you might try using this site, or one of the myriad fungi ID sites, to help you figure out what you have.

Researching your collections is part of the allure of mushrooms hunting, it's like a treasure hunt.
