heard rumors of amanitas up here and found some on my first hunt. I know there are many look alikes so all ideas are helpful. I'm making the spore print as this is being posted so i will update in the morning. If any more info or pics are needed please let me know. I need to know what i got
Habitat: In soil and and dead near dead evergreens. Woods in upper peninsula of Michigan. Also maples in the area.
Gills: White/light yellow gills, attached
Stem: 1-5 inches, smooth, white/light yellow, mostly hollow
Cap: Concave, 3-4 in diameter(about 1 for the smaller convex one), yellow/orange around rim going to burnt orange/red in center. White warts, pretty much making concentric rings.
Spore print color: Will post in the morning
Bruising: Not that I noticed
Other information: No distinct smell, https://files.shroomery.org/files/16-40/588416000-1475883921507.jpg https://files.shroomery.org/files/16-40/588415711-IMAG2843.jpg https://files.shroomery.org/files/16-40/588415124-IMAG2841.jpg https://files.shroomery.org/files/16-40/588415420-IMAG2842.jpg

I think it's in the Amanita flavoconia group but I also think you have two separate species. The remnants of the veil on the cap are white in one photo rather than the yellow brown of the others. Did you collect these all in one spot or along the way and the looked similar?

I did notice the different warts now that you mention it. These were all in the same park area but on two different trails. Both near ponds. And the spore print on the big whole one had no color. Any ideas on what the other species might be and would these be good to eat? Thanks.

They are both Amanita, they both have white spores, and no they are not for eating
