found clustered in the fashion of woodlovers in wet mulchy soil, stipe present, caramel caps reminiscent of cyanescens but flimsier stalks, it is hard to tell if bruising is present because they are old and starting to decompose. dark purple/black spores

Psilocybe cyanescens.
EDIT: Your pictures aren't good....but if you repeatedly see an annulus (ring) on the stems...then they would be Psilocybe Stuntzii. I can't quite tell in your pictures.

I would not consume those because they're so old, and would be hard to spot bruising, plus they look well past their prime. You should be able to find more there soon enough, just be patient, and don't rush. I know that's hard, but as we all know, bad taxonomy can kill.
Be safe out there gentlemen.

Naw I'm eating them, they are drying, I threw away the ones that turned mushy, the rest have obvious annulus and pellicle and the proper spore color and some bruising. So I am eating them

You'll be fine, those don't look like they've quite gone to rot. Not a bad haul at all. They're a lot less potent than cyans, but they get the job done.

So what's the normal dose for these?
I have read Stamet's story about finding these in Psilocybin Mushrooms Of The World, seems I remember he ate a good bit.

I think a good starting point is an eighth.... maybe a little more. The dosage calculator on here is usually somewhat accurate. But I have noticed stuntzii are really diverse so I am sure potency varies.
