Truffles trip report + questions

This trip took place a few days ago and I had it planned around a week before that. The day started with me going to work (I work as a part time housekeeper in a hotel). It was quite a physically hard day and I worked around from 9:30 to 15:30. I had some coffee in the morning, as well as some coffee and croissant on a lunch break around 11:30. That was my only food of the day.
I came home around 17:00, got some rest and took 8 grams of Pandora magic truffles at around 19:00. Together with me were my girlfriend and my best friend. They took some truffles as well. For me and my girlfriend it was a second trip while my friend did it for the first time.
After taking the truffles and waiting for them to kick in, we turned on an animation movie to watch to pass the time. After something like 30 minutes, the effects started to kick in. My body felt different, some visuals started to begin. After around an hour, the visuals got a bit more intense, but they were still quite light: breathing objects, the contours of kitchen cabinets were glowing, colors in the room were changing, sometimes everything around got really bright and came back to normal again, I could also see some patterns going around on the walls.
I decided to take 2 grams more to see if anything changes as at this point the effects weren't much different than I got on my first trip. This didn't change the trip much. I got some weird visuals, with objects appearing larger/smaller/closer/further than they actually were. The thoughts were quite altered as well. Me and my girlfriend were continuously talking and thinking about something, what seemed to be very deep. I was always trying to figure something out, but I actually could not understand what I am thinking about. Although this was quite weird, we enjoyed it. We were listening to music and watching videos on TV and I felt really good. Everything seemed so peaceful. I knew that there are a lot of problems in the world, but nothing mattered at that time, I was enjoying the moment as I knew that I can think about the problems the next day.
At some point I took 3 grams more. I don't even know why I did it, but it seemed that if I take more, I will feel even better, so I did it.
We were enjoying the time, chilling and listening to music for the rest of the evening and everything was cool.
We started coming down. The visuals stopped, thoughts came back to normal and I thought that everything is over now. We decided to smoke a small joint. I took my laptop to read if this is a good idea and from what I found out it seemed okay, so we went for it.
I started rolling a joint and for some reason I couldn't roll it nicely, even though I was feeling fully sober and I roll joints almost every day. I rolled one but I knew that something is not okay with it, but at the same time couldn't understand what's up, it just seemed weird. After around 20 minutes of trying to roll this one, I broke it down and went to roll a new one. After some time I made something that seemed okay, but I later figured out that the paper was inside out. I felt quite retarded, but that was still smokable so we went outside to smoke it.
This is where everything turned around. I took a couple of hits and passed the joint. Once the joint came back to me, I grabbed it and then something started happening. I told that I don't want to smoke this anymore and suddenly my body went fully numb. I got a thought that now I will trip really hard (all of this took only a second or so). I grabbed the handle of the door to go inside. Something happens.
I open my eyes. I am inside my apartment, laying on the ground. I realize I blacked out and fell on the ground. I hear my girlfriend and friend breathing really hard and being super scared. I stay quite calm and tell them that everything is okay. Then second after second I started to realize what just happened there, that I actually fainted and fell down. I laid on the ground at the same spot for like ten more minutes trying to understand everything. The reality seemed very weird. I looked around and somehow saw that everything around has a number value assigned to it, something matrix-like. After some time I sat on the sofa and tried to watch TV and just stay calm. However, sometimes my face got super sweaty and I felt like I was going to faint again. I asked my girlfriend to stay close to me all the time as this calmed me down a bit. The things on TV sometimes got glitchy, randomly moved, etc. I didn't panic, I understood that the drugs are still affecting me, but at the same time I thought that something may be wrong with my brain. At some moments I got a feeling that I am actually insane now and this is not gonna end, but then I calm down and tell myself that this will end for sure, I just need to wait. Those thoughts repeated over and over again.
After some time things got a bit better, I didn't feel like I was going to faint anymore. I got some juice and buns as I didn't eat anything for the whole day. I felt quite normal now, but my mind was still confused. I was having, what seemed like a normal conversation with my girlfriend and then she says "why did you just told two completely different things in one sentence?". That confused me once again, as I thought everything was normal, but I actually was talking random things sometimes.
My friend went home some time ago and me and my girlfriend decided to go to sleep. However, I couldn't actually sleep for at least half of the night. Every time I closed my eyes, some seconds later I started dreaming (I am not sure if these were dreams or just really strong COV's) and every time that happened, I woke up terrified and all sweaty, even though nothing scary was happening there. After about half of the night everything stopped and I was able to sleep normally.
For at least a few days after this felt weird. I was disappointed in myself that I placed myself in this situation. Two-three mornings in the row the first thought once waking up was about that blackout and it affected my mood for the day. I couldn’t even think about smoking weed or drinking beer or whatever, I wanted to stay sober minded.
Now I understand how stupid I was. It was only the second time I tried truffles (I haven't tried any other psychedelics) and I believe I took too much. I smoke weed almost everyday so I thought that this won't do much to me, but again, I was stupid and I had to learn it this way.
I would very much like to know what caused the blackout. I want to make sure it never happens again. As far as I am concerned, the cause should be a low blood pressure. Hard work in the morning, no food for the whole day, not much to drink either (I drank some juice during the trip, what was no more than 0.5l), combined with truffles and weed - probably not the best combo. Is this the real cause?
I am not going to mix weed with truffles in the near future again, but I might take some truffles after some time and I want to feel safe. Should I not do it after a day of work? Should I eat food and drink during the trip even though I don't feel the need to do so? What are the other factors to ensure the well-being while on the effects of shrooms?
Thank you guys for reading and I hope you will help me out

That seems very likely. I'm not really into weed but it does sound like the kind of "whiteout" thing that I've heard people describe, for example this is a snippet from some advice to people trying weed in Amsterdam:
Quote:
If you're feeling very light-headed, seeing stars, and/or beginning a heavy 'cold' sweat (aka "a whitey" -- I presume 'whiteout', as opposed to drunken 'blackout'): sit down where you can be comfortable, preferably in fresh air, and have a friend get you a sugary drink to sip on.
I think shrooms can cause slight changes to blood pressure too, so its probably some combination of low blood sugar / low blood pressure from the weed or the combination with shrooms. There could be other medical causes of blacking out, but something along the lines you've already imagined seems the most likely. If you eat nothing much all day, maybe you are a bit dehydrated too, you could feel faint even without any drugs involved just by standing up too quickly e.t.c

It's good to eat on an empty stomach, but unless you are used to fasting it's probably best to make sure that you've eaten something during the day that's going to give you enough energy to trip in the evening - for example if I trip in the evening I try to have a decent lunch, not an absolutely enormous meal but something to keep me going without feeling weak or hungry during the trip. For me tripping 4 or 5 hours after food works best - less than that makes me feel bloated, more than that I start feeling hungry before I trip.
You want to be adequately hydrated before your trip. I don't worry too much about water during the onset & peak, but I think its a good idea to drink at least something during the comedown.
In general, judging from reports its not that unusual for someone to say that they smoke weed all the time but it did something weird when they smoked during a trip (like that feeling of something being wrong you mention).
Personally I find that I really enjoy food at the end of a trip during the comedown, I'm hungry and everything tastes delicious. But during the main part of the trip I wouldn't want to eat anything.
Anyway I'm glad the main part of the trip itself was fun

Thanks for the answer!
The weird thing about that blackout was that it happened very suddenly. I have fainted once in my life before and there were also a couple times where I was about to faint. Normally you get squeaky noises in your ears, spinning in your head, etc., and you have some time to sit and relax and try to cope with it. However, in this case it happened in a second, there were nothing from what I have mentioned now, I only felt my body getting numb and I only managed to grab a handle of the door once I felt it, so there was no way to sit, drink something and try to calm down. It was very very fast, took no more than a second.
I will try to be more cautious about my nutrition and hydration next time I trip. I want to make sure it does not repeat ever again. Before this I felt ready to dive more in the psychedelic world, but now I have some fear, so I guess I won't increase my doses for a few more trips and then will see how it goes.

Happened to me once in Amsterdam, A friend of me and I were walking to get some food after some 8 hours tripping. When suddenly while on queue for the food everything got blurry, and after maybe 10 seconds I had to find my way to the nearest chair as I saw absolutley nothing. Then I started sweating, but when I say sweating I mean drowning in my own cold sweat for a few seconds. Right after the sweat everything settled down and I felt very good and cleansed, drank some water ate my meal and was back on my way to the room.
At the time, I remember that I had this sense that the truffles were cleansed from my body at light speed. Feeling Terribly bad for 30 seconds then all the after effects of the truffles were gone, like I haven't even trip prior to that.

Well, in my case the effects came back after the blackout, even though everything had stopped for some time before it.
Anyway, it feels good to know that everything can be explained normally, that these are my body reactions and not some kind of unknown mushroom magic
