Where in the world are you? I would guess Psathyrella (if the print is actually not purple but dark brown) or Hypholoma if it is purple as you say. It doesn't look like a Psilocybe to me.

Species Found: Gymnopilus Luteofolius ~ Panaeolus Cinctulus ~ Psilocybe Baeocystis ~ Psilocybe Cyanescens ~ Psilocybe cyanofibrillosa ~ Psilocybe Semilanceata ~ Psilocybe Stuntzii

looks like it's related to semilanceata somehow, it's not one but looks to be in that complex, could be wrong though
-------------------- I give you the choice of 2 pills.
With each containing one of the following: Cyanide... Psilocin... Would you take the risk? Didn't think so. This is why Positive Identification prior to consumption is important.

I'd be checking for a separable pellicle. If not present, Hypholoma is quite possible. I don't think it is a Psathyrella sp.

I was looking at Quebecensis as a possibility truthfully. I know it a long shot but description really hits where I found this. I may get a chance to look at spores under a scope in a the morning.

It is definitely not in Psilocybe. It is Hypholoma, probably Hypholoma dispersum.
