So i always find mushrooms in my dogs shit. I live in virginia on the east coast 30 min from the beach but theres a big swamp in my area. Usually the shrooms i find in the dog poo are very big and a white-ish brown but these are red and pretty small, you can compare the size to the acorns in the pic. Is it possible for psylocybin to grow in dog poop or i can pretty much lose all hope i will ever get lucky on finding them that easy?

not an active mushroom but a cool looking bolete nonetheless.
you might find actives in poop (cow manure) in the summer in the eastern VA counties that border NC if you search extensively, but 99.9999% chance you won't find actives in dog poo specifically--not even Panaeolus cinctulus--so you're probably unrealistically holding out hope to find some in dog poop. besides, would you really eat mushrooms that grew in dog poo?!?
you can also find P. cinctulus in horse manure or sometimes freshly sodded yards in your area during warm months. or you can go just to your west and look for Psilocybe ovoideocystidiata in the spring (mainly) and sometimes (rarely) in the fall.

one of the many red capped yellow pored bolete a (not active). If you want to figure out which one of these virtually indistinguishable species it is, this key should help: http://www.mushroomexpert.com/boletes_red_capped_blue_staining.html
As to your question about finding actives in dog poop, that seems quite unlikely.

cows eat grass being herbivores, dogs eat everything their feces are parasite central
-------------------- I give you the choice of 2 pills.
With each containing one of the following: Cyanide... Psilocin... Would you take the risk? Didn't think so. This is why Positive Identification prior to consumption is important.
