Why does he have to pm you to get your method? This is a forum for learning so you might just post it in this thread as he is asking for help. WTF?

Well I could post it here I just wasn't planning on wasting my time posting it if he didn't want it and it's really simple I simply wash wbs and get rid of floaters cover washed wbs with boiling h20 in a 5 gallon bucket adding 1tbs of gypsum per qt of wbs cover with about 2 inches of water place cover on bucket for 12-24 hours I do 24 drain on a screen with fans pointed at it string every 15 mind unuill I can scoop a hand full of grain and release without any sticking to my hand (the last part is most important) jar cover with the lids I told you about cover with tinfoil and pc and let cool ..... done I've Ben told this method is only good for wbs I'm not sure as it's all I've ever used(I don't take credit for this just a method I came across that works for me) I think it was spitballjedi's wbs tek

you will have to decide what kind of substrate and container you are going to use. Then figure out a plan for humidity and temperature.

Umm. Was going to chop, steam, then pour some spawn into the pile of wheat straw and wrap it with cooking wrap and shelf? This sound retarded?
Humidity is 80%-100% year round. Temps are also easily correctable. Normaly 40-90F yearround
Im in need of method. I have a freind with 10x10 storage units i can use for free. And land away from city permits. I can do what i want here. Just need to hone my skills and sell some mushrooms.
Basicly i already have pre built grow rooms just throw in 1 10.00 space heater for winter and there seems to be a fair market here. I have stores who want some just from some facebooking.

Glad you're making some progress with your spawn! However, you're light years away from selling mushrooms. I'm not trying to rain on your parade but you need to drastically increase your understanding of mushroom cultivation and actually grow some before offering up your nonexistent product to stores, etc. This board is full of detailed oyster grows...you should be able to find answers to all your questions without having to ask how-to questions at each step. This hobby/business is for the resourceful.
Good luck.

Yeah but lets not get overly negitive.
Im no clutz. I know about business. Light years is quite inaccurate, more like 6 months. If u have nothing usefull to say on my thread then just stroll on.
Anyone else want to tell me im wrong in posting for help or do we all assume im as dumb as my username and didnt look at other posts first.
I started this thread to not only get help but to log this into the site from start to finish as a mushroom farmer from north carolina.
I need all the helpful advice i can get. Will keep posting updates, James.
The jars are nearly filled do i poke holes when i rebag or wait for the bag to colinise first

Not being negative. You have some unrealistic goals and should probably be prepared for some disappointment if you think you're going to be growing and selling mushrooms in six months. You didn't know the difference between spores and culture the other day and had been trying to get a jar to colonize for months without success. I'm all for helping out and sharing information but you have to put something into it. Have you seen or read about anyone pasteurizing straw and then wrapping it in saran wrap after spawning? My guess is no. All you have to do is look up some oyster grows and you'll see that the substrate is typically put into poly tubes, buckets, laundry baskets, etc., depending on the setup. This is what I mean by drastically increase your knowledge of cultivation and for that matter, mycology in general. Have you fixed your jar lids or tried something beside popcorn for your spawn as has been suggested? Again, I'm betting the answer is no. Those 2 things alone will increase your success rate in the spawn department.

meh, I didn't know what spawn was last March. By August I was producing 20 pounds of oysters a week. Albeit, the 3015 strain would probably grow in a desert. I put a lot of time and energy into the process and learning mycology.

Sorry bub we will never agree. Yes i will be selling a few in 6 months. A factory hell no But a few. Yes ive tried substrates from coffie to red wheat.
Your so busy applying criticism to my long term goal ur not even helping me on what IM DOING NOW
You dont know who i am or no idea what ive put in it. And clearly dont know a damn thing about what i know. Ive watched every vid and thread i can find. I asked u about a method and u scoffed it.
Did u think i dreamed it out my ass. Of corse i seen it on the internet. And they claimed it worked. Had some kind of ring at the top of the bag
Spores is when you make strains. fuck spores i dont care or need them to grow oysters, i can buy strains and grain to grain them to bulk in a still air box. I can knock up 10 jars for 5 bucks. Do u think farmers invent higher yeild seeds??
Tired of your bashing. help me grow a mushroom or just call me a idiot and kick rocks. Ive read everything i could find untill i was about to give up and I now have a colinized jar as i posted for help. And its not a whim or luck. 2 jars that batch both worked great. My moisture was to dry. Way to dry.
And yes its been months so hello. That implys work right there, and about 300.00 in tools and mats. So. It was not night and day they slowly got better.
I need helpful shit. Not bullshit. Useful micoligy reads?books? Actual class vids. Im not learning shit strolling threads its the same shit over and over.
I need ur help to refine my operation but first i need help starting lets not jump the gun.but yes sir. I have done research and know 5 ways to grow mushrooms, i asked about 1 that sounded best. As u can control batch size.
