Tyvek: almost at 100%

polyfil: Middle jar is coming along really well. I wiggled the other two and most of the growth has gone onward rather than out so I think I am about to shake them today so that they don't wind up as a couple of bricks

1 shake during the grow at 25% and 1 after colonisation to test is more than enough, any more than that will slow your grow down.
I have begun using microspore tape with everything, really easy

This. I stopped altering my lids with a filter on plastic lids recently. Only have agar rn but they doing just fine. Will be trying a batch of grain this was for forst time soon. But been told by multiple people that it colonized just fine if you just don't keep too tight.

(Lobi) If you use tyvek filters you should consider them a single use disposable, tyvek isn't too expensive, especially for the amount of filters you get.

Depending on how often you are cultivating though that can become a bit of a pain in the ass. Nothing astronomical but. When I worked with tyvek, before switching to poly, and then to unaltered plastic lids, I used my tyvek filters like 3 times before switching with no problems.

Like a said. Depending on how much. When your cutting mad squares fairly often, you'll likely start trying to figure out a method that wasn't as time consuming. I used a cutting board and cut bunches at a time. Idk. Well, I got tired of it anyway. Same with foil. It's awesome to do bunch of jars with unaltered lids and not have to fuck with lids lie that ever again. Over time it equates to alot of time and labor, believe it or not. It's not beyond my capabilites but, why not find a quicker, and also less wasteful, method.

SFD's>tyvek and polyfill
One time I made about 50 lids with one wide mouth sfd 40 metal lids and 10 plastic. 10 will not rust but are slightly warped.

That almost proves it neither tyvek nor polyfill.

I use micropore tape. Once I tried it I never went back to sfds. 3 layers before going into the pc and a 1 more layer added once they cool
