Aren't glass drill bits pretty expensive compared to the regular kind that you need?

step in the right direction a plastic container may still work out cheaper than a glass drill bit especially if you smash the aquarium. You need to drill a lot of holes like multiple hundreds which will weaken the glass. Youll have to be incredibly careful.

I have a feeling the bit is going to cost just as much as a proper plastic tote...

Thanks for all the help I have gotten from the forums, I quickly learned the plans I originally had were not the greatest and with every ones help and suggestions I switched up my plans and went with the tried and true method.
Looking forward to my first grow, seems it will be a successful one!

Hello everyone, its been a while now, and through trials and only a few errors Ive really learned a lot.
I have had a lot of success using the Golden Teacher strain inoculated in Grow Bags filled with rye grain.
I would like to try a different strain some time but when I first bought the syringes, I had no clue how few cc's of spores was actually needed to colonize a jar/grow bag.
I bought the stuff needed to try a go at the PF TEK as I never have attempted it and it looks interesting. Thanks for all the help and advice/info found on the site, I would (and do) definitely recommend this site to anyone wanting to learn how to successfully grow without going through any of the trials and errors at first like I did.
I will have to post a picture or two tomorrow as the new batch is just starting to fruit and pop up.

Looking to restart to grow again this season.
My question for now being, does the golden teacher strain like manure?

I don't know, is it a primary decomposer? Are cubes classified as dung lovers?
Actually, no, you know what, you're right to ask this, because Golden teachers are a super special strain that don't like any of the same stuff as other cubensis, they actually like wheat crackers and jam more than the usual manure that they would be consuming in nature. The name on the syringe is specifically what makes them averse to doing the exact same shit as others in the same species.

They certainly like brf. My spores started germinating in 2 days, it took 13 days till 100% colonization.
