Ahhh...okay. I was just wondering because the mushrooms you were holding up in the original picture looked just like a small Azurescens or Cyanescens

Mature P. cyanescens found at dusk yesterday at one of last year's discoveries. The whole place was re-woodchiped since last year so I didn't expect to find anything. But a tiny pocket of vegetation provided an outlet for the patch's pleasure.
pfshroomer, sometimes Tubaria looks very close...especially in the pin stage. Tricks me for a sec on occasions.

P. cyanescens. My first new find of the season! Small stuff there as yet, but patches exist throughout the complex. It's in the East Bay. Also, what's crazy is that I always find my first new find right around now...last year is was Oct 29 and the year before Oct 28.

Wow thats amazing DavidReishi! My first ever post got buried a page or so back, so I'm back for round two. I found some Leratiomyces ceres (I think, take a look at my pics in the prev. post) growing in woodchips. DavidReishi mentioned these were the 'best indicator mushroom'. But does this mean that in the same bed I found the Leratiomyces ceres, Psilocybes might grow? Or does the presence of Leratiomyces ceres rule out finding Psilocybes in the same woodchip bed by monopolizing it? I've found so many Tubaria and Leratiomyces, and every time it fools me at first!

They can grow in the same area, even right on top of each other. The 2009 thread has a picture from auweia where Leratiomyces ceres are an inch away from Psycolobe cyanescens. I'd check on the spot throughout the season. I just went back to a couple indicator species to see if anything new popped up. So far some Agricus sp. have popped up as well. I'll be monitoring the spot in case I get lucky, it has perfect conditions for Psycolobes

I can't give any spots away, but I have personally found several patches of both P. allenii and P. cyanescens in Vallejo. Tell him to keep on looking in the woodchips. He doesn't need to travel out of town.

It's way too early in the season to be frustrated with not finding anything. The peak of the season isn't until mid December anyway.

These were in a parking lot i decided to park my car in and walk around. I actually didnt find them til abouut an hour of walking around the business lot's.

Some grassy cyanescens i almost tripped over on my way back to the car. They were near tons of blackberry bushes , and come this sunday a friend and I will be cutting back the bushes to take pictures of fruits.

 here's the cyanescen habitat

Ps.Cyanescens on a public running path.

Ps.Allenii that were at a business that a yuppy cocksucker smashed and destroyed when he saw me covering them with leaves, recorded me and threatened to the call cops. Good thing he doesnt go mushroom hunting with intent to destroy. THings like that really upset, now i've gotta go back afterdark. I've got a sunlight flashlight that works really good to spot mushrooms at night.

Cultivated Ps. Allenii getting educated at college.

Returned to the site of today's find to search more thoroughly and found a bunch more cyans. They were growing here and there practically everywhere. I can't wait to see what more rain'll do at this place.

One of a few P. allenii patches also found at the above location.
