Agreed. Looks like Galerina marginata and so do the ones in the first picture of the previous post by the same member.

Found one lone P allenii. After staring at a small wood chip and ivy patch for 5 minutes, I FINALLY noticed this. It's amazing how hard they can be to see sometimes.
While I've found patches before, this is my first CLUSTER! Well over a handful.

I read somewhere on shroomery that clusters oftentimes means the first year of fruiting? And, following years, the mushrooms will be more spread out? True?
Also, do you all clean your mushrooms? I just dust them off and throw them on the dehydrator. I got quite nauseous last time, but I think it had more to do with eating a meal while coming down.

Found this nice cluster of cyans the night b4 Christmas with a flashlight across the hwy from my mom's place. It was the same area that I found a lone alleni a couple weeks ago....my only find in three days of hunting then. I guess it was just a marker to bring me back to find this cluster for Christmas. Best find since I moved from Seattle 6 yrs ago to LA.

Found a patch of allenii in beauty bark / soil. Really confused when I found it, most definitely not ideal habitat. Pretty awesome finding a patch when you're running errands!

Yea the beauty bark patches never seem to produce much in my experience. It works but it's definitely not the ideal substrate.

Biggest find this year was on a bark, wood chip mix. Almost walked right by it because of the bark. Cyans.

I went out to some known patches today and was surprised to find a few fresh flushes (small ones) but most everything else was dried up or past prime. It's the beginning of the end.

Checked one of my patches today and all that was left was mush. Only one good sized cyan stood.
Haven't checked any other patches but I'm certain its the end of the season in my neck of the woods.

Still have growth in spots that are covered with leaves. Suprising, it's been awfully cold at night. I only go to known spots, because i noticed that thecold turns the cap green, and look just like another mushroom. So far, 3 lbs dried cyans/allenii's this season. I put my stubbs and bark in wet cardboard after each hunt, and they're taking off. Gotta love sonoma county. But i do have a question. What is the best route to take for inoculating fresh chips? I was giong to bury squares of the cardboard in the chips and leave them be. Someone else says bring a big tub of chips indoors and babysit it till it warms up again then spread handfulls of chips in my outside spot. Now someone else told me about inoculating honey water and spraying it. Any input

It's definitely drying up, but we had some good luck south of SF again today. First, on a return trip to a park where we found one and sort-of-a-half allenii last year, there were drying mushrooms all through this ivy in a very public spot:

A couple feet away:

All together from this spot we brought home:
We checked this park at the end of November and didn't see anything, but we weren't digging around either so if they were down in the plants we could have missed them. These were hard to miss, which is how I like it.
Then we went by a couple other places - the one with the ice plants was still going, but again they were looking dry:

This time there seemed to be fewer fruits growing over a somewhat larger area. Google streetview shows the area was landscaped with woodchips a several years ago and has since grown over so you wouldn't even know the chips are there. We took mycelium and replanted it in a couple nearby spots. Anyway, here's today's take:

All in all it felt like a pretty nice goodbye to 2016.

Your idea works but is pretty slow jumping to the chips and success for first year fruits are greatly reduced. Liloldme's methods have prove superior to all other ways. Super huge patches first year. Basic ager/grain spawn/chips>outdoors. Maybe he used ager for lc to inoculate the grains? Here's a link to his grow. https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/23008066/page/1 Your thoughts work over time and will most definitely pay off in the future. No matter what. Just keep doing whatever. It all pays in the end for all of us. Thanks for spreading the love.

Hey everybody, shameless plug incoming.
I am letting go of my mushroom cultivation supplies. I've had the stuff boxed up in the closet for years and haven't been using it. I want to see it go to good use though so I made a post in the Shroomery Marketplace: https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/23973797
Perhaps one of you guys here are interested in this stuff. Maybe you've always wanted to get into cultivation, but never have, or maybe you used to cultivate but want to get back into it.
I've listed the stuff as free or best offer, contingent on taking everything and local pick up (preferably SF East Bay).
Shoot a comment over on the marketplace link to let me know you're interested.
Thanks guys!
