Things are just getting going over here in the valley (south of Lathrop).Like OM said, the lack of irrigation this year is definitely having an affect on things. One of my spots lost 90% of it's plant cover.

Hello fellow psychonauts, first post here. I've been soaking up the knowledge on this site, and its been really helpful for a beginner like me so far. Seems like a great site and knowledgeable community here.
Anyways, I went hunting for the first time in my life today around SF North Bay and came across this sight of what I believe are cyanescens and azurescens. Can I get confirmation on this? Here are some photos:

2 other species of mushrooms that I think I found (ID please):

Also, does anyone have any suggestions as to how I should store/dry them? I've done some research on it but I'd love to hear more opinions on the topic. So far, I placed them on a paper towel on a table in my room and I'm currently drying them with a regular handheld fan.
Note: I live with a very conservative family so I won't be able to leave these things out in the open too easily.

The first six pics are Leratiomyces ceres. And then there's pics of Tubaria and something else. You did a good job hunting and taking pics though. You should get back out there and search more places. You're doing it right...just do it some more.

Thank you, I'll definitely keep searching. Glad I didn't consume them immediately. I thought I struck gold for my first try

Pic 7 might be Hohenbuehelia petaloides.

The first set it Leratiomyces ceres besides the last one in that set is probably Tubaria furfuracea. The next one is probably Hohenbuehelia petaloides and the one after that a Gymnopus species.

Ah, I see. Would the 6th photo be azurescens?
Also, I found a small mushroom that I happened to collect with the group of Leratiomyces ceres. It looks like a liberty cap to me. Just out of curiosity, can someone confirm?

No the sixith one isn't azurescens
the latest picture looks like a Bolbitius
This isn't a really good place for ID requests, you should instead make your of thread.

I see, right on for the clarification. That's pretty much it for me in terms of ID. After thinking I struck gold here in the SF north bay area, I basically ended up empty-handed during my first hunt. Fun experience though

Having devoted 20+ hours searching and finding only 1 very small patch, serious respect to some of ya'll!
Revisited my small patch today and found another allenii. Wow! They can certainly look very different after a battering of rain.

In all seriousness, do I just suck at looking for actives? Or, does it just take this much time to find a patch? Or, is this year particularly bad? Btw, this is my first season hunting. All opinions welcome and appreciated.
