Nice looking fruits JW!
That casing was coir and verm, it actually did better than a couple of the peat based casings I have done, coir is SUPER contam resistant which is a big plus

After seeing all those great looking shrooms I decided to cough up the cash and buy KO1 from aloha but all I can find in their catalog are Pleurotus eryngii AM-G239 thru AM-G254. Is KO1 listed elsewhere?

Thanks. I'm still confused, those strain names aren't associated with the catalog numbers in the culture catalog where I was going ro order the 12 pack. I guess this needs a phone call.

They offer a 12 Pak? I thought that was discontinued.

They changed all the designations when they were bought out. The folks at Aloha will know which culture you're talking about though. And I'm pretty sure the 12 pack was discontinued. I ordered it before they changed hands and shortly after they removed starter packs from the site. Do you have a link?

Not to derail the topic at hand, but

they changed hands
When did that happen? Should I give them another chance? My only Aloha order (12 pk) came in terrible condition.

Hey y'all, we've been having pretty good luck with 5-10% Alfalfa supplemented straw. Got the K01 from Aloha a couple years back, and it is still a great culture. We are incubating cotton seed hull/straw/alfalfa bags currently. They are around day 10 incubation, so around day 21 we'll fruit. I'm looking forward to the CSH, because of how well mushfarmer used to have massive flushes.
They haven't been fruiting very uniform, but have given 2-3 flushes pretty consistently. We've gotten some half pound chongers from these bags.
