breaking up BRF cakes and mixing into wet fresh manure?
    #23707614 - 10/04/16 05:44 PM (7 years, 4 months ago)

I had a  couple contaminated PF cakes that were 80% colonized or more but not consolidated and a little soggy. I birthed them and crossed my fingers but I noticed trich fluff starting to form. I took them out to a horse field that my family owns and crumbled up the two cakes and mixed them into the most shaded and moist horse patty I could find and mixed it together very well with a stick.

The cakes were covered in mycelium and even smelled healthy but I knew they weren't gonna make it and didn't want to ruin other projects.

What are the chances that they will take a possibly get a flush? Just trying to make the best and most out of the situation and figured it would be more beneficial than just burning under dirt.

If you think I have a chance of some fruit, how long do you guesstimate?

Thank you ahead of time for any replies or advice.
Peace

The biggest trip of my life was realizing all of the events and actions described in posts made by this account were never real and had never actually happened, but were instead the delusional ramblings of a severely mentally ill human being. I just had to move on for my own good. I love you all.

Not trying to be a dick, but there's absolutely no way to make an intelligent guess. For one, we're relying on our imaginations for what the sub looks like. I could guess they could throw a few fruits out in a few days or, if the myc survives the winter, they might not fruit until spring. Outdoor patches are unpredictable, and working just off of your description, those two guesses are both as valid as any other guess

I live in the south and it's still in the  80's. The sub was almost fully colonized just not "hard" or consolidated. Like I said about 80% healthy smelling mycelium crumbled and mixed well broke and mixed the manure well. I figured I'd have a 1 out of 5 chance. But I just figured it would be a better alternative to burying them which I have early this year and about 4 or 6 days later I had very large fruits from just the soil in a plant container.

Thanks anyways though!
