Rusty brown spores psilocybe 3

Hello,
I've found some shrooms that look pretty much the same as other Psilocybe Serbica that I found but spore color and print is different.
Here are some side by side photos. Rusty one is always left.

spores

Habitat is the same as other and they stain blue quite a bit. Could this be just variation or different mushroom?
Thank you!

I would stay away from mushrooms with a rusty brown print, also the stem is not white like the shroom next to it.
But it stains blue
Interesting...

I will not eat them Just interested in identification. You are right. Stem is not the same. It's bit thinner and fades from brown to white and later bruises blue. Also most of Serbica that I find have some blue stains at the time of picking. These bruise an hour or so later. Will try to find some more and make some photos as it changes. Here is one photo where stem is more visible.

Thank you.

Damn, that's pretty cool if the rusty brown spore specimen is indeed a serbica. Could be a mutation?
Also, variations in the stipe are common in other woodlovers, by environmental factors I have believed. Have found azures growing from conifer material with rather dark stems which also take a while to bruise. Just thought I'd mention.
Pretty neat though, and good pics!
Edit: Here's an azure specimen like what I mentioned:

Now the stem does look right
Definitely interesting, can a TI give their opinion on this one?

Compare them with Galerina steglichii, interesting find. Please don't eat them.

I think you are right https://www.shroomery.org/12462/Galerina-steglichii
But habitat is far from tropical and they are not that rare here. I've found them on 3 different locations. I've also seen them last year on same spot. They grow together with Serbica so everyone picking them should be really careful.
Thank you very much

What area of Europe are you in? Please dry and save some so someone with a microscope can look at them. If they are steglichii it would be a really rare find.

Bosnia and Herzegovina, mountain, cca 1100m above sea level.
I will dry them and if someone is interested in doing microscopy I can mail them.

I am not sure if it is Psilocybe or Galerina, it looks so similar to Psilocybe serbica. There's lots of P. serbica sequences in GenBank to compare against.

cca 20 hours after picking caps really don't look like galerina to me. But who knows how steglichii looks dried
Here are some photos. Cat played with spore print

I'm sending some to Alan for microscopy.

I spoke with Jan Borovicka about this thread as he's the world expert on P. serbica, and he said that microscopy or DNA is needed, and also mentioned that P. medullosa is a possibility and it can have rusty gills sometimes.
My guess is it's P. serbica that lost one of the spore pigments, like the redspore cubensis.
But 10 seconds under the microscope will make it clear.

DNA analysis came back yesterday - the rusty spored mushroom is Psilocybe serbica.
