First time fruiting spawn bags question?

Hi,
This is my first time fruiting spawn bags and I have heard a couple options and would like the opinion of members of this community. If I decide to fruit in the bag.... do I leave the bag as is and use a blow dryer on cool setting to once a day blow some fresh air thru the filter patch. Or do I cut some holes in the sides of the spawn bag? Or do I cut the top off the spawn bag?
Or should I just cut them out and put the in a fruiting chamber?
Thanks

I haven't tried invitro with grains so I am not 100% sure it works (where as I know for a fact brf cakes fruit great invitro) but I would not do anything. period. I have a guess (or maybe I read it long ago. not sure tonight because I got a little drunk) but cubes seem to have a contingency plan. If they aren't subjected to "proper" fruiting conditions after so long they will as a last resort still fruit to try and push their dna out on the world.
With brf cakes I use to just set them in a closet after knocking them up and after a while, low and behold, fruits would be trying to break though the jar. I know grains are a little different to fruit off of, but I have a feeling they will just do fine to be forgotten.
Dont use a blow dryer. DO NOT cut the bag open. It will dry the grains out and you will get contamination (trich more than likely.) DO NOT try to put grains in a fruiting chamber alone. Even with a casing grains are iffy at best.
Up to me and my drunk ass I would either.... A)throw that shit somewhere deep in a closet and try to forget about it. B)spawn to a proper done bulk substrate then fruit.

If you have no idea what you are doing, dont put it on us to hold your hand bro. Pick up stamets books. They have some outdated info but will put you lightyears ahead of other novices. An overall structured reading will give you an idea of how mushrooms are grown professionally. After reading, you can quickly fill in gaps or outdated info from this site. If reading isn't your thing, go pay a few bucks to get RogerRabbits videos.
This site is great, but in all honesty its a TEK aggregate site full of 20 years of info. 17 years of that info sucks. Again, once you have an overall idea, info on this site will start to click.

what do you think of the bulk nugget tek? without holding my hand Im happy to start from scratch I just thought a spawn bag might work in its place. I wanted to make my own substrates and bags anyways so this is a great opportunity

TBH I have no idea what the bulk nugget tek is and have no inclination to find out. I have done the same thing for years now with no problems. I guess I am a boring old man, but I dont fix shit that aint broke.
I knock up proper cooked grain with clean agar cultures. I spawn to a mix of 45%hpoo, 45%verm & 10%gypsum substrate brought to field capacity and pasteurized @ 150 for 90 minutes into monobuckets. I then fruit said monobuckets.
It has worked for me for countless years with no fuss no muss. hpoo is free in my area and I love it to death.

All of it, but especially the bulk section. I'd recommend CVG (coir/verm/gypsum) for ease of preparation.
Edit: still waiting on those pics OP
MFW kids are afraid to touch horse shit. support your local farms and pick shit up for free. Coir has quadrupled in price in the last 10 years.

I've never tried fruiting a bag straight up, but you could probably just cut the very top off and case it and fruit like a bottle. But yeah I'd recommend spawning it to a bulk substrate in a monotub. I like 50/50 horse manure and verm but coir/verm is more beginner friendly.
I agree with the poster above though. Horse manure is awesome... and free

Check out how SpitballJedi prepares CVG (Coco Coir, Vermiculite, & Gypsum Bulk Substrate) and how he spawns to bulk in a monotub.

coir was 4.99 at a petstore 10 years ago when i started.. its 4.99 3 blocks away at the local gardening store.

Forgot the important bit. Person with 20 posts disappears 5 days after posting unclean LC tek.
Also I get coir for like 3 bucks a brick so... I'm not sweating it. I can't exactly keep horse poo bricks around in a cabinet for months. The volume of it all would fuck my perfectly organized drawer of coir bricks.
