Help identifying P.Semi Eastern Canada (Pics)
    #23704305 - 10/03/16 04:51 PM (7 years, 3 months ago)

Hey guys, went hunting today in Eastern Canada not expecting to find too much. I've never found any in the wild before although I've spent hours searching.

Was about to give up today after three hours of walking when I magically stumbled upon a little nestled grove of grass in the shade.

In this patch I found hundreds of these guys. There was no other kinds of mushrooms growing. I felt like I instantly recognized them even though Ive never seen them in the wild before.

All the information I know is thanks to the Shroomery so thank you guys, hoping you can confirm my find!

PS Spores are dark brownish/purple

Can you eat them raw or is dried more potent? Thanks again!

Wow that's alot of liberty caps. Really cool to see bruising on that one!!!
More potent when they're fresh, but fresh or dry they are gonna be potent

Thanks for the quick reply! I had all but given up looking for them
and the last spot I checked was absolutely packed!  It almost felt like it was
meant to be. I kept telling myself, if you don't find them they don't want you to find them.

You got em dude  fresh are ever so slightly more potent, so make a tea with your dose for today and HEAT DEHYDRATE the rest (air drying alone loses a lot of potency) and save em for another day

Fresh is more potent, like way more potent in my experience.

Very nice semis man, you hit the motherload.

Thank you Fennario for replying!  The spot I found them in could not have been more perfect.
They were all growing in a straight line about three feet wide by eighty feet long along the treeline.
After this experience I am convinced that these mushrooms are a conscious entity and they could not have chosen a more beautiful home.
