The prices do get close to real diamonds depending on the quality and realism of the lab diamond.

Butt he best part is that it isnt fueled by African slavery and diamond mines that cause a lot of deaths. But having the real thing thou....its hard to match. Imperfect diamonds make them awesome and unique. Lab diamonds are just too perfect....

I've seen Brilliant Earth, but they still upcharge a lot on their moissanites, so I wouldn't go with them. There's no reason for them to charge so much for moissanites, it literally costs $5 to make a lab diamond.

Some lab diamond makers intentionally started creating imperfections in their fake diamonds, so it looks real and will still be able to fool 9 out of 10 appraisers.

I'm too lazy to quote everything that caught my eye in here, but

1. I compare myself to Jesus, I don't see any problem with Kanye doing it

2. Pluto -- big pic reason for this happening wasn't primarily material loss but psychological transformation of Kim K and related

3. Doesn't need to be an inside job...just takes a little research to exploit from outside

I've never paid attention to the Kardashians, but I felt kind of sad hearing about how she blamed herself for the attack.

Those jewels are probably long sold by now, all her necklaces and what not were probably broken up into pieces within hours and sold as loose gems.

I don't know how they will get away with selling that huge 20 karat ring though, I mean with that much publicity pretty much every legitimate buyer KNOWS what the ring looks like and they're going to be immediately suspicious if they come across a similar-looking ring of that size.

I was wondering, who the FUCK proposed to Mariah Carey that was wealthy enough to afford that. Last I heard about her, she was dating some 19 year old wannabe rapper, and there's no way in hell he makes that kind of dough. Crazy to think about though, even Kate Middleton who married into actual royalty was proposed to only with a $150,000 sapphire ring.

Jacqueline Kennedy, unlike Kim K, actually had common sense though, and only wore it twice in her life, and kept it locked in a bank vault almost all the time. Seems like kind of a waste to spend so much money on an item though only to have it locked away in a vault for most of its life.

I'm wondering how they will get away with selling that kind of huge 17 carat that's on her ring. Even if they took it apart and sold it as a loose gem, pretty much every legitimate buyer they come across is going to recognize that it looks very similar to Kim K's stolen ring and be automatically suspicious of it.

The only thing they could do is break it apart at that point and turn it into many smaller diamonds... but if they do this, the smaller diamonds won't be worth nearly as much I think.

The buyers would understand what they are buying ahead of time. And they will get a great deal on it as well. If it's sold off for only $500,000 even, it would still be a worthy heist.

Apparently that 40 carat ring came from a humongous 400 carat ring that was found in South Africa. It was broken up into 10 pieces and Jackie Kennedy got the best piece that came from it.
