Please update us on this pretty mushroom, if you can, with a spore print and a shot displaying gill attachment.
The dimensions and description might fit Phaeolepiota aurea. The cap shot doesn't fill me with certainty, I have only seen it statuesque and with a scurfy cap but it's my best bet for now.

Thank you Joie!
Here are gill attachment shots.

Cap color on photos from my last post looks quite washed out, it's more orange and much more appealing in reality I'll try to do better shot tomorrow.
Will update with spore print when I have it.

Thanks, and pleasure, it's a cool one. This is good supporting evidence for P. aurea, but looking forward to the other shots and we'll get there if it isn't.

Tyvm for the update. It is Phaeolepiota aurea - sorry it isn't the Gym you're hunting but it's a nice thing to see around!

I wasn't looking for Gyms, I actually found it in middle of Serbica patch. I haven't seen it before and as it really looks great I picked one to ID. Too bad I haven't found it while it was considered edible
Thank you very much Joie
