LOTR is the shit Harry Potter is nice and all but it doesn't really come close in terms of creating a whole new fantasy world
Did you watch the movies or read the books? I enjoyed both honestly, the extended addition movies are fucking epic
Yeah I agree but it actually goes Hobbit LOTR Harry Potter

Well it's like LOTR with modern CGI,amazing battle scene and magic spells/enchanted places and thing look dope. It's an awesome series. However the book was much better and didn't have half the shit the movies did

You must not have been baked enough Harry Potter is more quirky and modern no doubt but LOTR is epic fantasy at its best essentially
All I can say is LOTR keeps me coming back but I have not even thought of Harry Potter in quite some time before this thread.

I thought the movies were alright overall but I hated how they pretty much turned the hobbit into LOTR 2.0...
The book was so great becouse of how chill of a prequel it was to the epic trilogy IMO. The hobbit is great standalone and can be appreciated by almost anyone.

In that order
Sorry want to add that I read the hobbit before watching it and the hobbit is under 400 pages and the best book I've ever read or one of the best. Didn't get time for the lite books yet. The movies actually I'll take the story of the hobbit to that same awesome level through all 3 movies . The last one battle of the 5 armies is amazing chi and some of the most epic battle scenes I've ever seen in cinema.
I loved the hobbit so much but I equally loved reading Harry Potter when I was younger and it was a huge part of my childhood and helps my imagaiton every time I allow myself to be immersed by it I feel it expands my imagination. But that's even more so with the he hobbit so it's a tie.

psi said: I don't get why you have to burn them to blu-ray, couldn't you just hook up your computer straight to the TV?
eh it's laggy when I do that.
Maybe you need a faster HDMI cable or whatever, blue ray probably takes more data.
It may be that the computer isn't decoding the video quite fast enough. Ideally the video will get decoded through "hardware decoding" where the GPU does most of the work, but sometimes the program playing the video won't be set up correctly for this, and the CPU may not be fast enough to do it on its own. In some cases the computer won't be fast enough to play certain videos watchably even with the GPU's help.

It's not cpu I got IObit ASC and I can view my cpu % in tp corner and it tops around 16%... it's my encoding software when I convert formats.. I've been using xecode or something like that and it's shit.. and need to find a better one..
