Not thinking active just curious what this is. Heavy blueing on cap

Habitat:
Mixed wood forest in Virginia

Gills:
White

Stem:
Thin, couple mom's thick. 2.5-3.5in long

Cap:
Few inches wide convex to flat

Spore print color:
Looking white so far

Bruising:
Lotta blue on cap

I don't think it's a Russula. It looks more like a Clitocybe.

Similar but those look much thicker and meatier than what I found and the gills look different. I don't know what chanterelle type gills are termed where they kinda go down the stem some

It is way to small to be Russula virescens.

Does it have an odor that is strong or unusual or smells like anything  not fungal?

No. No noticeably different smells.

About a dozen or so in area, only about half were blue and only the caps
