So I just wanted to see if anyone here could give me some advice in terms of the colleges i'm intersted in applying to.
I went to some really tough high schools and the stress kicked my ass, I just want to succeed in college and not get burnt out so i want to go to and learn a lot but not have the pressure of say an ivy league school. so here is my college list i'm applying to from the schools i want to get inte most to least, but all of which I will likely apply to.
If you specifically know something about any of them or when there please just tell me about social/academic atmosphere and any other insight you might have, thanks!

I know multiple people that graduated from OSU and it sounds pretty chill, people seem to say good things about Corvallis but its got more of a small-town vibe.
CU Boulder is straight up a school for the wealthy, you will find a lot of yuppies in Boulder which is not necessarily a bad thing.. It tends to be fairly expensive to live in Boulder and going out into the metro areas will mean your commuting to school, which is not chill... Lot's of good looking people in Boulder if that is your thing. I don't know too much about the academics. You may want to look into CSU, I think it has a great academic atmosphere, but similarly to Corvallis CSU is in a smaller town with that kind of vibe.
U of A, I went to school at ASU and wish I had gone to U of A. The GPA requirements in their engineering program seemed more lax than ASU, which was odd considering ASU's reputation. People seem to love or hate Tucson, I like it.
What will you be studying?

These are the schools that I know about:
UC Santa Cruz is a BEAUTIFUL campus, it looks like you're camping in the middle of the woods. Full of nature, has a very hippie vibe. UC Santa Cruz is also a party school.
San Francisco State... I was under the impression this was only for graduate school, and they had no undergrad? Correct me if I'm wrong. I might be thinking of UCSF.
Chico State is for sure a heavy party school. I remember Playboy listed Chico State as #1 or #2 party school in the country, it almost always consistently tops the charts along with University of Hawaii.
I heard Arizona State is a party school too, but I can't confirm it since it's been so many years I can't remember who or where I even heard this from. I heard it's very easy to get accepted into ASU, it accepts more students than it rejects.
It really depends on what you want to pursue though. Some schools have better programs than others when it comes to a particular field of study.

I'm going to major in psychology for my undergrad
Oh thats interesting about CU Boulder, I sort of got that vibe by reading about it and thats not really something i'd be interested in, I think a small town vibe would sit well with me I'm actually from Tucson originally and I love it as a town, but I was thinking I might like a change of scenery, see I have been studying abroad for the past year but i'm applying to college to go back so i'm considered out of state either way, I'd probably be going to U of A cus of in state tuition had I finished high school in AZ
I'm applying to U of Oregon and Oregon state

Read up on the Western Undergraduate Exchange Program (WUE). I got my graduate degree out of state under the WUE program and it brought my tuition down considerably.
http://www.wiche.edu/wue
If you consider doing this let me know and I can give you what info I remember.
If your interested in Colorado look into CSU instead of CU. Seeing as how you like Tucson, I think you may like Fort Collins.

Damn dude you're applying to a ton of party schools
I take it you're not going to get much studying done...
Just don't be one of those freshmen dropouts who ends up flunking out his first year because he partied too hard.

UCSC and Oregon State are beautiful. Can't really comment on any of the rest of them, I'm an east coaster, but I've been to Corvallis Oregon and its a dope town. Seen pics of UCSC and its one of the prettiest campuses I've ever seen.

my honest opinion? It doesn't matter. Pick a college for academics. I am doing undergrad at a place that is really different than my personality. And I ended up making some of the best friends of my life here. Also, some of the professors here I look up to a lot
I ended up sort of molding a little bit to the persona of the college. my uni is small and as such everyone sort of knows everyone. I was the textbook definition of an introvert going into uni. coming out? I have wayyy more friends. All my current uni friends are far more valuable than my high school friends by a mile. Also, I ended up sorting of becoming more comfortable in social situations, and it sort of forced me to be more open, straightforward and manly
so in summation, the idea that you need to pick a college that meshes with your persona is bullshit in my opinion. The party vibe gets old by junior year. if I were you, choose purely on academics. You will find frineds that work for your personality. And there is a sort of friend group/friends for every single drug you can imagine
Oh ya and no matter what, the drugs are rampant. Its just usually alc for freshman. But by junoir year, cocaine and E are everywhere. And flow plentifully
EDIT: hahahah I put my college name in there by accident. I edited that shit out

I'm more looking for a relaxed environment where people are very open and accepting, also I have family in Cali and AZ
I mean yeah I would ideally go to UC santa cruz but out of state its tough to get in, thx for the advice tho, i'll surely make more posts concerning this topic in the coming months, love the shroomery for advice like this, its a truly great community, would love to meet some shroomeriites some time

All you need to be able to do is prove residency in a state that qualifies. So if you have an Arizona ID you should be good. It will come down to whether you maintained your Arizona Residency while out of country or not. It is easy to say that you maintained your AZ residency if you still have your ID, if you surrendered your ID and got a new one in another state or country you may be right.
If you did surrender your AZ ID, you should look into ordering a replacement online. I remember doing this several times in AZ and it still had the original issue date. As long as your original ID was issued greater than two years before your start date than you should qualify without problems.
Edit to say: If you would qualify for in-state tuition in AZ you would qualify for WUE. If you surrendered your AZ ID you may not even qualify for in-state tuition in AZ anymore.. This can be really tricky.
If you get stuck navigating this territory you can PM me your situation and I may be able to help. With some pre-planning I was able to get AZ residency for my undergrad even though I didn't actually live in AZ long enough to qualify. In fact, I even got a friend who went to high-school in Kuwait in-state residency.. Ha! if you have family in CA, you may be able to do a similar thing for Santa Cruz depending on your circumstances..
The trick to all of this stuff is having your paperwork meticulous when you submit it, if you can fly under the radar your golden. But if your app gets red-flagged and forwarded to residency investigations, your fucked. AZ could even deny you residency because your spent time out of state during non-academic periods, since your out of country this could get tricky for you if you aren't careful.

I feel like it's easier to get in out of state,I mean the school makes more money by charging you out of state tuition that's five times more

idk if the risk is worth it tho i really don't like school that much, just want to get it over with so going to a cal state school would be just fine with me, and plus tuition is lower

I have some friends going here, seems like a good school. Depending on the classes you plan to take it may he a bit "hard" but there is also lane community college which is much cheaper and has come good classes too.
