Help Identifying Subs?
    #23698980 - 10/02/16 01:22 AM (7 years, 3 months ago)

I found these growing in a grassy/ woody field within 10 meters of some trees. (I've found subs in this area a few times).

The thing throwing me off on these is the stalks, they are much larger in diameter than the ones I've seen?

Note: I took a very small dose last night to test them, I felt mild effects such as giggling and happiness but could this just be the placebo effect?

But whyyyyy would you EVER eat a mushroom unless PROPERLY identified. That shit scars the shit out of me. You could die from eating the wrong mushrooms.

Please do yourself a huge favor and never eat unidentified mushrooms. It is a bad choice that can potentially kill you.

Not exactly sure what these are, you should provide a spore print. But they are guaranteed not to be hallucinogenic or
psychoactive in any case. Where in the world are you situated?

What throws me off is how not one single part of these mushrooms bares an even remote resemblance two either of the psychoactive species that are often referred to as "subs".

Or any other active species for that matter.
I am thinking a Hebeloma species.

I'm starting to think the mushrooms I ate previously were different. They weren't picked on the same day but within proximity to these. Here they are.

They smell like the previous subs I've found but I guess that doesn't matter too much? Also I'm in New Zealand.

Those look similar to subs. but are not subs. Do not eat!

I can see where someone with limited experience might make the mistake after looking at that last picture. I think they are probably all the same species. I would say Agrocybe, but the gills seem to crowded, narrow, shallow & pale for that to be the case.

I think Agrocybe is a good suggestion.
