Pereskiopsis graft wait time?

Hey fellow gardeners
I have one quick question... If you saw my caterpillar thread you saw that one of my Pedros was ripped apart and I had to try and make use of its parts... The rooted stock is chilling, waiting a few days before I plant it.... Yet the tip was grafted onto a pereskiopsis... Well it was attempted to be grafted
I'm going the cling wrap and cloths pin method under a big glass jar... Its been three days now under The plastic... And Im curious how long I should keep it with the cling wrap on top... A guy on YouTube suggest a week... But what do y'all suggest? Is that overkill? I've never grafted anything like this before...well really not much of anything... So forgive me of this is a redundant question or whatnot... Seems to look okay on top the pere stock right now. Got my fingers crossed and my toes a tappin!!

Also, with the rooted stock, once that callous is formed and seems nice and strong for plamting ... Would you suggest planting it into a wet or dry medium? I know when it comes to trying to root logs/branches, a dry medium is preferred for about a months time... But if it already has roots? Now they were broken a little bit when I uprooted my poor baby the other day... But its been a few days already... I just have it sitting out ATM.
Thanks zee meel leehon ya hall!
Peace, love and cacti

That must have been one big pereskiopsis! A week is plenty.

It was my biggest one, but I cut it down. The stalk was thick though... Not in diameter but in strength. Took Some force to cut it with a blade!
And the Pedro tip was just that... Maybe an inch to an inch and a half... It came off of my smallest Pedro too. Thank you for the reply homie
I shouldve waited, because last night I checked it... And nope! Wasn't ready, fell right off! Damn you lipa! No harm done, I think, I just made some fresh cuts and reassembled. So now the clock starts again...
Failure is valuable through... That's the fee for my education I suppose
Alright, a week it is
