Inoculating spawn bags g2g
    #23698060 - 10/01/16 06:52 PM (7 years, 3 months ago)

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has tried inoculating spawn bags over the Laminar flow hood innoluating from a colonised jar?
Just looking for fast colonisation, but not so sure of my liquid culture sitting there in a syringe...
Cheers

Simple answer since youll most likely do it anyways. Yes, it can be done.

Are you very sure your spawn is clean? This is a good way to waste a ton of grains if it's not. You should be working in front of your hood, not over. Lastly was the colonized grain master made with the same LC that you mentioned?

This all can be found with the search function.

Oh no, the liquid culture was made yesterday by dissolving, scraping and sucking up a colonised plate of agar in front of the hood.  Naturally the water went all through the plate, so any trace of bacterial contamination could have potentially been sucked up as well.  That is why I am not confident about trying it!  The master grains are just other grain jars inoculate g2g that look healthy
