Water Culture (Honey Organic)

Ok I have some serious questions This is my first time doing liquid cultures. so i Decided to to try out two different types of honey with two different strains very common strains B+ and GT. I used organic honey the most expensive i could find lol. then some cheap stater brothers natural honey which i figured would be fine. well after i pc'd them both i got sediments in the more expensive one which i figured the mycelium would eat anyways and the other no sediments. is picture with sediments after pc and mixed and settled again. i didnt take a pic of the other one just seemed pointless. now this is after 5 days of growth on both As you see it looks like the Mycelium looks to be eating the sediment fast i think at least if this is not whats happening please someone tell me and this is my other one with b+ injected into it as you see no growth at all and i used more spore solution maybe its the honey or maybe its that i waited 6hours after i injected them both? ever bit of information that would be said would be highly appreciated thanks

If you were doing a side by side of which material would work better for a lc (expensive vs bargain) you should of use the same spore syringe to inoculate both. Even that would be flawed because a vendor syringe is a ms solution with wildly different genetics in it. Look up pastyplates and just work agar. Lc's aren't reliable because until you put it on something you don't know if it harbors contaminants. At least if you had them on agar you could transfer good growth to a new plate.

Like i said look up pastyplates. Ask the ingredients can be bought from the grocery store or elsewhere around town. If you wanna do a pf style grow you'd be better off just inoculating with the ms and to hell with the lc made from ms. That's only giving the contaminants a head start if your going to shoot it into brf cakes anyways.

Then you'd definatly benifit from putting your syringe to agar to clean it up, then using the wedges to inoculate grains or to make a LI. Syringes are bound to have contaminants due to how they are produced. Putting them on agar and cleaning them up is a way to avoid that along with proper sterile technique.

Make a still air box (SAB): https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/20048771
Costs much less and unless you plan to do grain bags or massive volumes of jars, it will work just as well.

Check out the links in my signature.
Use the Pastyplate's link and the Agar Portal.
These are game-changers for the beginner.

Lookin good so far, bud. However the LC with no growth that is cloudy is definitely contaminated, sorry bout that.
However i'd definitely urge you to continue your plans and grow your LC out to a monotub, especially since you have gotten this far!
I do agree with the other guys that agar will help, as you can clean up any contaminates before you inoculate your spawn. But as of now, most of your LC looks good, and there is no reason not to try out a grow. I havent yet done any agar(though i'm planning on doing it with my next grow), and have had great success with doing spore syringe>LC>WBS>monotub/substrate. Of course success will vary from person to person because of many different variables, such as sterile technique, working environment(molds in home), etc.
Goodluck with your grow:D

that looks like stale jizz. LC without agar cleanup is like ATM without douching first.its gonna be dirty.
but post the results!
