Should I worry about this? Please advise.

Just saw this today. It could be bruising I did move the cakes to modify my fruiting chamber. But I am a noob and don't know what I'm seeing.

I'm willing to bet by the looks of your cake, your fruiting chamber has no or minimal holes.

Did you modify it to make it built right ? Or did you modify it with noob engineering and do things you thought would help ?

Thats a terrible picture. Take the cake out of the fruiting chamber put it on a table and take a nice well lit steady picture.

Also take a picture of your fruiting chamber.

I can already tell you didn't follow the directions to the T though.
Your cakes should have vermiculite on the outside from the dunk and roll step in the PF/brf TEK

No I didn't dunk and roll I just found out about it.

I'll take a picture later I'm not home. It's a shotgun fruiting chamber. Bunch of holes on all sides and elevated.

Yeah it was just a plastic tub but I was informed of my mistakes. That's why I had to modify the chamber.

Looks like you got...uhm... Happy... With that drill bit.

I mean, it'll probably work but the configuration of holes just so you know is 1/4" in a 2x2" grid on all sides.  Looks like you might've -actually- used a shotgun on it.  Lol.

Haha definitely. Those cakes, even in the first pic look dry. Needs to be glistening with no pooling water.

If nothing else, make your holes bigger where the perlite is to draw more air through.

You need bigger holes and less of them honestly. But should work.

It looks like he washed off the uncolonized areas... Which is what you're supposed to do lol

Lol yeah I didn't have the right size drill bit, so I figured I should just put more holes. They were dry because I didn't dunk and roll. But someone told me, so I have them soaking now.

Oh yeah and the broken cake broke when I birthed it. So I had to cut away the uncolonized parts.

Okay the cakes are all dunked and rolled and I'm using a sgfc now. Thanks for setting me straight guys!

Any idea how long till I see fruiting now that I fixed the problems? They are on day six post birthing.

You'll be the first to know.  I personally never got predictable results when I used the pf tek.  I don't think I ever did the tek properly come to think of it......

I was one of those guys that used an aquarium pump and all that.....instead of a sgfc.

Ms is unpredictable.  There are general guidelines but you really never know.  If I had to make an average I'd say within two weeks.

Could be more, could be less.
