Recipe:

100g > Dry Pellets.
20g > Raw Tea.

----

Substrate water guide:

x 1 Dry Substrate | 1 Part(s) | 50% Water.
x 2 Dry Substrate | 2 Part(s) | 66% Water.
x 3 Dry Substrate | 3 Part(s) | 75% Water.
x 4 Dry Substrate | 4 Part(s) | 80% Water.

Examples:

120g dry + 120g water = 50% water.
120g dry + 240g water = 66% water.
120g dry + 360g water = 75% water.
120g dry + 480g water = 80% water.

----

Basic cooking guide:

Get a bowl with lid, measure your water using scales, fresh from the kettle.
Measure the tea leaves and add them to the hot water and mix.

Add any additives and mix everything together well.
Leave to settle for 2 minutes, then mix again.

Add 140g of water for the final microwave cook.
Add the mixture to the dry paper pellets.

Mix and mash with a fork, or vegetable masher.
Place the lid on but with a small gap.

Microwave for 12 minutes, then clip the lid on.
Leave and remove after 4 hours.

----

You can also cook using any other chosen method.

----

Always fully cover your grows, as mold spores will germinate.
Generally you will get an infection within 4 days.

This substrate is bacteria resistant.

----

Generic paper pellets

Here is Golden oyster from spores, after only 2.8 days.

Radial, aggressive and synchronized.

Im actually in the midst of testing tea with cleaning mycelium. Makes total sense because I have used tea as an additive in tissue culture substrate for plants to control bacteria from wild collected tissue samples.

This tek could be useful for people who dont have a flow hood.

Yes, a simple SAB is sufficient, and constant worry of spores landing on the substrate.
Keeping this information in your head as you assemble is essential.

Looking for mold is easier than looking for bacteria.
This tek can be done with no experience.

As a extra tip for microwave users, you can place clear wrap over the lid and base after cooking.
This will help stop accidental infection as the substrate cools, as it draws air in.

Caution: Extremely hot, so wear gloves.
