Unsure if grain jars have colonised

Just need some advice from an experienced grower. Basically I've got a few rye grain jars that seemed to colonise in 21 days, the whole jar is covered accept for small patches on single grains around the glass. I suspect what might be happening here is the very thin layers of myc on some grains don't appear visible because the yellow liquid (can't remember it's name but I'm sure it's all good) in the jars is moistening the myc. After the jars looked fully colonised besides the small patches; I left them for another week but still they haven't covered in myc. Should I leave them longer of go ahead and spawn to bulk substrate?

That sounds like bacteria. Post some pictures.

Bit bacterial, yeah. Other than that, colonized.

Ehh may as well. Or case in the jars and top fruit them. Might do better with less disruption to the colony.

Innocule won't lead you wrong.
What I personally do is, after ruining a huge tub with a bad jar, mix your jar with equal parts coir/very and add the mix to two small trays.

Cheers for the responses guys. ive got a load of jars that seem to have bacteria in. I like the idea of casing the jars but the jars are not wide mouthed so think that will be an issue. Could I just crumble a few jars into a big tray and case them? Tbh I've only every done monotubs and PF tek back in the day so I don't really know how this works. Just crumble myc into trays, case with verm?? And then into the fruiting chambers?

I personally have been doing 1:1 trays lately. Not necessarily a quart jar to tray, just mix one quarts spawn with one quarts coir/Verm and see how many trays you get.
Here's what I'm getting. Hang on will edit in a pic.

I see you're using the micropore tape method instead of stuffing the holes. Never tried it myself, but I'm interested to see how it turns out. Looks like it's working well so far

So much easier to play with. I've removed the bottom of three rows of micropore tape on the top holes, and mist it every 4 hours or so.
I've never achieved half this pinset. So I'd say it's working very well, or could be luck

I think if more people would try it, they'd agree it's the way to go. Had so much trouble with Poly. Pain in the ass. Never gonna do anything but micropore from here on.
