Teaching your Child the 'Wrong' Things

I have had some thoughts in the past of how funny it would be to teach your child things like
"Santa is God"
"The alphabet song goes like this 'Yankee Doodle went to town...'"
etc.
Then they would be chilling with their 4 year old peers in pre-school and be like "hey I know the alphabet" and they would sing it and the other kids and teachers would look at her/him like they are crazy.
I guess the reason I am posting this is the fact that it is pretty cool you can teach a child anything and they will most likely believe it. I can't wait to be a dad at some point down the road. It seems like it could be a lot of fun at times.

Yes. You can teach your child they are worthless, and they will believe it.

I just had a woman at my door telling me she's a jahovas witness. I'm like "no thanks, bye." I felt sorry for the poor kid she was dragging around with her. Poor little fucker doesn't stand a chance. Oh well. The good news. As I answered the door to her I discovered the lions mane spawn I'd ordered, had arrived.

Ya I used to say nagger and forget a lot as a kid, and my mom and step dad would say the words I am referring to all the time. I would repeat them and get the shit smacked out of me.

Yes. You can teach your child they are worthless, and they will believe it.
The world is full of these people. Just look around.
Or you can do the opposite and teach children that they are special and unique. You can tell them to shoot for the stars because anything is possible if they try hard enough. You can let them imagine a world full of firemen and astronauts where everyone is making a difference in the world.
You can follow this up with the idea of a career, a job that they will become a core component of their personal identity. Forget about working as the president or a bad guy fighting police man. No, it is more than just a job. It is an idenity, you are actually going be be a police man or the president. Your job will define who you are and what your life is worth.
Then you can sit back and watch their dreams fall apart. "Sorry, but you aren't a good enough musician to be a rock star. Nor are you athletic enough to play sports professionally. Not smart enough to be an astronaut or scientist..."
It is funny because some people will just keep right on trying, singing away trying to become the next Mariah Carey, because you know, anything is possible if you don't give up.
After their spirits break you can watch them get sucked into the corporate machine and take whatever job they can get. You can watch as they come to realize that they are a powerless nobody, destined to do whatever the organization dictates lest they have nothing in life. You can observe the depression and desperation creep into their mind as they realize that rather than being somebody and making a difference in their entire lives will be dedictated to serving giant, inhuman, souless organization and keeping the greed driven wheels of a corrupt and oppressive society turning.
Then you can watch them in therapy, on and off medications. You can watch them drink too much and struggle with addiction. You can watch them try again and again to rationalize their ultimately meaningless, mudane, boring, same as everybody else's life.
You can even fill their heads with crazy movie ideas about love and romance and them watch them go through divorce after divorce because nobody seems to complete them or meet their fantasy land expectations of what relationships should be.
Heck, if you do it right you can even watch them attempt suicide a few times.
Why? Because never mind the contradiction, we are all special and unique. You can do anything you want if you work hard and put your mind to it. Don't settle for anything less than your wildest dreams. Have a career and make your job the defining piece of your identity. That way when you help cure cancer you can feel good about yourself and who you are. Just ignore those giant buildings full of dreary looking people. Those are the folks that didn't listen to the inspirational songs and have the courage to follow their dreams.

. . .
Last month I was hanging out with my 1 year old son before he went to bed, and I was burnt out on cartoons, and The Big Lebowski was on TV. I was like, "well, there's nothing scary or violent in this movie, we should be fine", but after like 15 minutes, Rip started cursing. He said something about his "fuckin binky", and I had to turn off the movie. For days after, he would occasionally say "fuckin". The thing that got me was that he used it properly. "Want to ride my fuckin bike, daddy." It was actually really cute, but very, very inappropriate. He seems to have "forgot" the word, but the takeaway is that we have to be very cautious about language. His mom & I don't swear much period, but now we gotta mind what we watch, too.
Thanks, Walter & The Dude.

"Son, you are now the right age to be initiated into the Mystery of Methoxetamine."
"Awesome dad! Are we going to eat or snort?"
"Neither." *puts a syringe on the table*
"Fuck no, I'm not gonna inject!"
"We are not going to be using a needle."

Datura is quite good for that yes but, it tends to bring in the spirits that are written in blood - the Demons.

I wonder if you took a child from birth, and raised them at home, no public schooling, no religion, no gods, no worldly masters, how they would turn out.
I wonder how you would go about socializing them properly with other children.
