I've come to the conclusion that getting away with murder is near impossible in today's day and age.

As stated earlier, 1/3rd of murders go unsolved in the US

Are you planning on killing someone you know or a random person? The only way I see someone having any chance whatsoever of getting away with murder is if you kill a complete stranger.

I'd say it depends on locale. While a country-wide average is one in three murders, the areas that drop it (the average) are probably not solving over half of them. Meaning in some cities you can get away with murder on the same chances as flipping a coin.

It would definitely be much easier for a random, but I doubt there are that many serial killers out there, most murders are bound to be business or personal.
Might make for interesting research

Makes sense, its probably a lot easier in Compton than Scottsdale.

you don't think there are many serial killers out there?? dude I think your naively mistaken..there are alot of killers walking free out there..even if they aren't doing it all the time but still have that built in looking for the next chance they get.. I'm pretty sure alot of homeless kill people they'll tell you themselves.. that they think about hurting people and killing people and shit..

Naivety is believing the shit talk of some bum.
There are a lot of people being murdered in the US, I would bet good money the majority are the result of gang activity, business and personal vendettas. All of that is relatively normal human behavior, the whole Ted Bundy thing is not.

you know that eventually you will be arrested for something you didnt do, its just a matter of time.
would you kill your self? right away? take your chances with the legal system? get revenge on the people who framed you?

What weapon would you use to kill your victim. Of course this is all just fun and games, not actual murder plots.
I would use a really common blunt object like a rock or a brick and just smash the person in the head till their brains are showing.

You clearly didn't read my entire post. If I was actually going to kill someone I wouldn't discuss it on a public forum with my IP available for everyone to see. Pretty much discussing "what if" scenarios.

First choice would probably be the foot, but the belt would work fine

Theoretically speaking, one of these handguns... I own all of these legally btw .

Bottom left is a pneumatic webley alecto ultra, just about the sane kinetic energy as a 22, but way more quite and without intense heat, the pellets could theoretically be dipped in fentanyl. Top right is a custom 22 from tactical solutions that has a fixed barrel w/ threading for a silencer, bottom right is my mark 23 .45 w/ laser sight and strobe light.
Thinking about giving the webley away via contest on the shroomery, it's not a typical bb gun, I was issued it for use in JROTC and bought it when I left for around $400, extremely accurate pistol for competitive shooting with a trigger pull weight that can literally be set off by a feather.
Amateur hour up in this bitch. No quotes please, feel free to save the pic though.

Because it's incredibly dangerous and doesn't kick in immediately. That's why they use tasers.
