Armillaria species. Looks close to Armillaria mellea, they likely were growing from wood beneath the dung. A darkening of the stipe could be brownish, greenish, greyish or what I would call a watery, muddled, muddy color especially towards the base is something I have seen often in this group. I actually picked some thinking I may have stumbled upon the a jackpot of psychadelic delights, hopes fueled by darkening of the stipes which looked greenish, to deep, dark maroon or burgundy tones or a nearly indigo-purple. The pale whitish spore prints dashed any remaining hopes of (known) psycho-activity. Looking back I think it is likely that the bruising I witnessed at the time was more intense than it would have appeared if it wasn't what I was hoping to see, and certainly I do not recall any more, with a reaction as vivid, amongst the intervening years. So you are not the only one who has had this learning experience.

The first two pictures include mushrooms that look to be a Hypholoma or perhaps Leratiomyces species. I would be kinda surprised to learn they were not a part of Stroparacea, at least.

Thanks and it surely has been a learning experience. Did you see the log pics? One more think I would like to mention, the smallest dung pic was picked right from the dung itself the others did feel as if they were growing from under it.

I changed the backdrop to show this vibrant green hue.

in your second to last post, the first pic shows a Galerina species. Assume these mushrooms (in fact any mushroom you know or suspect of belonging to this Genus) are extremely toxic, and are likely to cause severe & permanent organ damage, if not death, in the event they are ingested. This presents a very real hazard to inexperienced, overly enthusiastic, or sloppy Psilocybe seekers. I recommend researching the genus, including the differences between mushrooms belonging to Galerina and Psilocybe.

Oh yeah, the second appears to be an Inocybe sp. which is also probably quite toxic.

Thanks, I enjoy the walks and amateur photography. The knowledge I am gaining helps me become a well balanced, responsible individual who can pass this to others (in time). I really do appreciate the feedback.
I have MS, and when I feel good I walk. This hobby just makes the walking a little more enjoyable. I learned that the target species that a lot of forum members love slopes, so this is my motivation to strengthen my legs and keep blood flowing. I would not under any circumstance put any unidentifiable anything into my system and deliberately cause irreversible damage to my self, and I have five boys one is a Marine (prayers), and two more at college age, and an additional two where one is high functioning autistic like me. When I see details in this mycological phenomenon inconsistent with what's posted here, I don't want to eat them when I post them, I want to gain information. If I find a mushroom that reacts to oxygen and turns blue, with a chocolate to purple and possibly jet black like a sharply, you'll see my confidence in my posts and finds.
Now you know a little more about me thanks in advance.
With Respect,
Toad
