Whats up guys, i had a failed first grow. they had kind of a sweet smell so i dumped them all. A couple weeks later (today) i go outside to smoke a cig & i had a pleasant surprise. it looks like the burmas i grew sprouted. Only two looked safe to eat but I'm double checking that these are good before i munch them. below are some pics i snapped!

That doesn't even look like cubensis... which makes this not a cultivation topic.

Unless it's a weird sporeless mutant, that fruit should be black by now given it's size. The stipe also doesn't look quite right to me. Nor does the cap for that matter. Is it peeling? Of course, by titling that image BURMA we now have one more mislabeled image on the internet for people to compare their mushrooms to...

you would be an idiot to eat those.
burma isn't a strain it's a variety. cubes are cubes. look up psilocybe cubensis not burma.

I am curious now, what could those be?

unfortunately a lot of mushrooms have white stems and brown caps. take a spore print, should be nearly jet black
also the lack of bruising is concerning

so could i wait to see if the gills change color or should i just toss them? the only reason i thought they were burmas is because those are the ones i planted & they look similar

You could just title the pic something else like "outdoor mushroom find" so that it's a little more upfront about the context and that would be fine.. I too would be concerned about the lack of bruising. The gills going dark would be a good sign, but still not definitive proof. The way the stipe connects to the cap looks unlike any cube I've seen as well. I'm no trusted identifier though..
