why dont wild cubes grow in uk

I was just wondering why cubes dont grow wild in UK. Unless im missing them on the lists ive read. cubes are tough little fuckers id have thought they could survive here?

Cubes are tropical. UK is too far from the equator. You could grow them outside in the summer months with some luck, but they would die off as soon as the frost sets in.

Yeah ive grown them this summer, thought they could lay dormant or something till next year or something tbh I dont know enough about the way they survive outdoors.

If you covered the patch it may be possible through a mild winter.

Had some fruits in the garden a few years ago after i tossed out contaminated jars. It was late summer. Location: Germany.
If you are interested in outdoor grows you should try psi. cyanescens.

Im not actually trying to do it I just put used up/contamed stuff outside, I was just wondering why they can't grow here. I've heard they can germinate at really low temps. Id love them to grow here like libs etc.

If they fruit spurt and have the right conditions to germinate next spring u could be lucky. Not sure how the spores would survive a wonderful UK winter though. Also it would have to be a mild spring.
Almost impossible or my local dump would be sprouting lovelies everywhere. I alway fantasies about that.
