Do you guys remove the "suckers" on the bottom of the stem? I feel like they never develop into actual branches so I'm considering removing them. Any thoughts?

Ill typically see if i can get a few nodes on them for cuttings. I never made a point to remove them otherwise.

Looks good Ferrel, I've been putting that off but will take my cuttings and thin out my Bumble bee within another month or so. I have to take a picture tomorrow if its not raining again, she has turned into a huge bush, new growth still forming every where, in fact theres already roots coming out of the bottom of the pot I put it in already trying to get a nice grip of cutting and negotiating where shes going to be planted in the ground hopefully

Yes its been three weeks of rain, its nuts. Though even through out the summer we get heavy down pours almost everyday with a REALLY high humidity & it seems to enjoy it, I wish the winter was 5-10 degrees warmer but they seem to do well.
The place we're thinking of is next to a lake with lots of other trees, if thats where we settle I think she'll be happy, it will be hard to say good bye but I'll take those clones and keep trucking. I'm hoping in the next 5 years I'll be getting into a bigger place for my home and studio, I would love to have the property to plant them

Under the shadr of those trees amd next to a lake would suit it well. Best of luck on that endeavor.

Just sowed a couple hundred each of M. hirsuta and M. javanica seeds. Hoping the foxfarm OF isnt too rich for Mitra seedlings. In hindsight I probably should have sowed in coir or verm.
I still have some more seeds left and I imagine these will have viability for another month or two...

It seem mitragyna seeds can take a fertilized soil but i dont know how strong the fertilizers are in the commercial soilmix a friend used.
The good thing with coco is that the mold/algae dont form in the same way it does on regular soil. Since one usually keep mitragyna seedsows very wet, algae is hard to avoid on regular soil. Coco dont have nutrients so it seems not so good in this way though.
The absolute best way must be to use a fertilized soil and apply a thin toplayer with coco where the seeds are placed. The seeds then germinate on the wet coco and when roots start go down as the seedling gets bigger it comes to the nutrient rich soil and benefits from the fertilizers. Another member uses this method with Loph seedlings with very good results.

Godspeed brother. w the sowing if youre worried about it being too strong, maybe cut it w a little coco coir? I have never sown krat seeds. Im gearing up to soon, but havent had a chance yet... but anyway, ive sown a lot of other diff seeds in FF OF and it seems to be pretty gentle stuff. Honestly, i mix in a bunch of other stuff into it for use of seed starters. Never had any issues w burns or it being too intense. Though again, i have no direct experience w sowing krat,.. maybe its a little picky but i use it for krat clone trannys andnit does an excellent job aside from the expected stall i get after roots set in, they typically love it and hit the ground running (well after they dont for a while )
Get your soldier on ferrel. Its time to suit up and battle the highway. Godspeed to you as well i got a feeling your bee tree will be just fine in your absecence. Ill send some rain vibes your way after i wake up.... .... :whoanow: ... !!!

I saw on r/KratomGarden where someone rooted a Rifat cutting in straight tap water. He said he changed the water daily. I'm trying this and I'm about 3 days in. It's looking good. Looks like a lot of little white knobs starting to form. I hope they will become roots! It's on my back porch so it's getting a little sun and all the fresh air.
