I have noticed they are quite easy to acclimatise to indoor conditions from my more humid conitions in a tub.
I also tried put a few seedlings out in the greenhouse during the days and that seem to work fine.
Took them in at night though, i have colder climate than you i suppose.
I wouldn´t be suprised if they soon can handle the night temps outside if in a greenhouse.
They are so lovely and fast growing plants.

They are pleasant to grow, indeed. Well considering they're still rather small, I will keep them indoors for a while longer. However, they were getting used to the mostly indirect sunlight in the window sill, so I'm hoping the CFL lights in my grow tent will be sufficient. Maybe in a couple of weeks they'll be ready for the outdoors! I should teach my cat to stay off my valuable plants though, since I'm sure they would survive in ambient RH in front of the window.

I'm excited to finally grow my own Mitragyna speciosa! I received two Red Indo cuttings in the mail today, in pristine condition. They were planted in a mixture of equal parts organic potting soil, coco coir and perlite with an added handful of dried cow manure.

My Kratom cuttings have been adapted to their new environment and are growing steadily. I can't keep them in their current mini greenhouse for much longer though, since they'll soon outgrow it. So I'll have to choose between putting them in the grow tent under CFL lights, or finding them a good spot outdoors on the terrace. Not sure if they could already cope with outdoor conditions though? During the day it's rather hot (+25°C/+77F) and sunny, but at night temperatures drop to about 10°C/50F.

Those are lovely Poison Drink. I love those leaves. Those are seed grown or clones.?

They're Red Indo clones. Do the leaves of these stay this narrow?

I don't think they will, I've never had red indo but my rifat and bumble bee's seem to vary in shape and size, some times leaves so round the remind me of sea grape leaves, and some times very narrow, some times both  It would be really interesting if it did though, we shall see, either way looking good

No, I dont think they don't stay that narrow. I'm actually surprised that they are clones, as clones tend to have wider leaves from start. Seed grown plants take a while before they get the more widened leaves.
Did the wavy-ness on the leaves appear after you received them and repotted? Probably not anything to worry about but I've heard, can't put sources on this, that it could be due to pH imbalance. Do you know what pH your soil has?

That first picture is right after I received and repotted them, so the leaves were already a bit wavy. They're also outgrowing the mini greenhouse rapidly, since they don't even fit entirely in it anymore. I suppose I will need to move them to the grow tent shortly. I don't know the pH of their soil, I'd guess rather neutral. But I water them with acidified water, pH 6. Wonderful jungle you have there!

Nothing yet on the Daun Jambu but I got activity with the red malay..

It will be a while before I got my humidity tent setup figured out as it's complex but I wouldn't mind a bit of a jungle haha

What a sight, very nice.

Nothing on the Daun Jambu here either.
I might try some Gibberlic acid when i get back from a buisness trip in about a week.
Maybe it can get them seeds germinating.
Only have about 10 seeds left though.
Maybe i can spray some GA on already sown seeds, we see when i get back home.

Hey guys, an update on my green Malay seedlings, they appear to be growing well, growing indoors in my vivarium which is inside my grow tent with full spec LEDs, i started these guys on the best potting mix I could get my hands on, sown 20/03/18 so around 6 weeks old and powering along, got some hirsuta seeds sown yesterday so fingers crossed, I put the smallest amount of seasol seaweed fert in my watering can and they appear to enjoy, http://http://http://http://

So the Mitragyna hirsuta seeds I got were viable, no dice on the javanica though but I still have some seeds I'm gonna give it another go.

Here is the best pot of hirsuta:

Those Green Malay seedlings looks like they are growing well but they use to be a more green color when healthy.
Maybe it´s the camera or something, you say they are growing good so i guess it´s allright.
As long as they are growing well i dont think there is something to worry about.

When my mitragyna seedlings got some fungus/dampening off problems they turned that brown/grayish color i see in your pics.
I used some H2O2 and was able to save just a few.
I hope it´s just a camera issue in your case though.

Nice Hirsuta seedlings MG
Hirsuta is one mitragyna variety i still have to aquire some way.

No Daun Jambu super kratom seeds have germinated for me and it has gone long time now.
I do have some Gibberlic acid, i shall read up on what amounts to use and try soak the remaining seeds in GA solution for a couple of hours and then sow them.
Maybe it can help, worth a try at least.

Thanks Mateo the seedlings didn't appear too bothered untill the last couple if days, I've now noticed the leave's are curling and crappy looking. I'll get some h2o2 today as you suggested and treat them, what's the dilution rate bro? Is it good for foliage spray or do I just spray or drench the soil? Man I hope they make it, it would suck if I lost em,

So,I have noticed an increased interest in this plant as of late, especially for myself.

I knew I had to act fast and acquire at least one plant, and I did:yesnod:

My plant was beat up badly in transit, and I had to trim off a few mangled leaves, but now after about a week,I am noticing new growth:excited:

Mitragyna hirsuta.

Now,one of the reasons for this post is because there is absolutely no information on my particular species of Kratom anywhere on the net.

I wanted to make a thread where fellow Mitragyna growers could share tips, and information,on all the various types, and their experiences with growing them.

I'm going to over winter mine indoors, and put her out in the Greenhouse during the warmer days.
This is my first experiment with this plant,so we shall see how she fairs.

I'll post updates occasionally,so wish me luck:cool:

Everybody feel free to post pics of your new plants,or old plants:lol:
Also, any growing tips,or knowledge that can help us all out in growing such a magnificent plant:yesnod:

Really wish you'd come back buddy. I have no idea what could have spooked you so much.

Anywho this is Bumbleton my bumble bee kratom.

My seedlings are still too small to care so much about them. They are getting bigger but at 2 months id expect more than a second set of true leaves. They are everywhere but its so oooooooo slooooooowwww going.

I have the lid off the tub and i want to see how it goes without it. Humidity around here is still at. Humidty is at about 60%.

I hate peat but if thats all you got then thats all you got. Once you go coco coir you never go back. Thats why i like ecoscraps potting soil because its made with coir not peat.

Ditto. Peat sucks. I didnt use much. I bought some strange worm castings that were part peat moss. I thought i bought the regular, rich black castings but ended up w this stuff  just threw in four handfulls this go round though. The cutting agent was perlite. Six scoops of that and 15 of fox farm ocean forest, w two small handfuls of guano, two sprankles of bone and three tablespoons of myco (which has some kelp included). But yeah man i agree, theres nothing like coco. I actually do have some but it got caught up in the washing process. First i hit it w just clean water, then We got some rain and i set it up to get an earthy shower/rinse. Idk if the rain was contaminated or if i left it in the bucket of water for too long, but when i went to grab it, it had a sour smell. Prob wouldve beeen okay to use, but its my best looking krat... So i didnt wanna chance it. Im setting up my coco for a final rinse tonite though and whatever soil is leftover im doing a tranny on a young cucumber tomorrow in efforts of trying to yield something this hot in the season. Got a bunch of tomatoes atm and theyre doing great, but the plants are still young and just starting to flower. Arent even in their final containers yet  i got a late start this year for veggies but it seems like there either wasnt enough spring or enough time to go around

 im still in the fight though :muscles:

You guys wash your coco before use?
Is that good to do?

I usually pour boiling water on the block to make it expand and to try kill some potential fungus in there.
Something i used to do in the mushroom growing days when using coco.
But then i use it straight away as soon it has cooled off.
