My largest Rifat has been fairly badly treated the last couple of months. I've had her under a light for a few weeks now and at the newest node, she has started to develop two stems instead of one. I guess it's fairly common for trees to do this as I often see trees that has divided its' trunk. But this young? I don't really mind though, feels good she's decided to start growing again

Definetly go for a rainforest themed room At least you were Wise(r) than I, and spread out the seeds a bit more. I'm currently going in the direction of Kratom Sea of Green. I guess I'll have to seperate them fairly soon. Here are the three weeks old Green Malays
and the Rifat that's starting to grow a crown

The Green Malays have good viability. Looks good YayWise The 3 week old GMs look really good Micaele, they have gotten so big.
Im sowing the Thai red vein/Malaysian red now. I also going to have a lot of Mitragyna seedlings. When they get big, i might also have a problem but a nice one as you say, JayWise
Micaele, when you are going to try separate the seedlings? I guess, the bigger they get, the harder to separate.

Hey all. Quick update on my plant. It lost quite a few leaves, and I swear to god it literally shrunk. As in, it got less tall. I don't think that's possible, but I'm not sure how else to explain it because it used to be eye-height and now it's lower than my clavicle bone.
Anyway, the green-house plastic I used worked, it was very warm inside during the day, although I never checked at night. I took it off so the plant could catch some rain, and I've been too lazy to put it back on because the way I set it up requires like three people.
But the plant doesn't appear to be losing any more leaves, nor growing. It's just kind of stagnant.
Oh well, hopefully during the spring and summer it'll start growing again.

Things should return back to normal as the weather warms. They slow practically to a halt during the cooler months. Protect it from frost and freezes, especially if in a pot. The rootball might freeze, that's why I mention it.

Plazmotech, i think your plant will come back when spring comes. The plant simply goes into self protection mode and therefore seem stagnant, the plants resources is reserved for surviving. If it had too cold temps it would die, not only go stagnant.
For a tropical plant it has shown to be suprisingly tolerant.

If tge plant is still alive, which it sounds like it probably is, it will certainly come back in the warmer months. Winter is usually hibernation time. Itll come back, hang in there

Get propagating, spread the plants. If the fuzz drops a ban then keep your heads down and carry on. It's nothing new. These plants will survive, they always have.

I planted Red Vein seeds two days ago
I too have an abundance of Green Vein seedlings, I guess I will have a lot of plants to choose the strongest and may try to sell and give away some others domestically. No idea how big they have to be to ship, transit would not be more than a day usually but of course it may be stressful if you uproot it too much in the process. So will first just test this by simulating it at certain ages and of course I will share the results. It will be a question of being able to give all the plants I am growing enough proper lighting in my apartment And I feel like eventually I would want to build a martha for khat, kratom, salvia, etc.
(Wouldn't it be incredible if you have an oversized martha with both plants and mushrooms to get a synergy in gases? I don't know how much of a bad idea this is regarding contamination potential, but I guess one could use a separator of a sheet of polyester felt and cover the soil of the plants with loose gravel...)
Not sure yet if the germination rate is also as good on the red ones so I again sowed plenty, but this time a little more within reason.
Nice plants Micaele, exciting

I think mitragynas should be a few inches at least before attempting any package yourneys. But you can try with smaller ones, it would be intresting to see how they cope with the disturbance of the roots.
One of those huge CFLs will cover a lot of area, or you can build a 4 x 4 arrangement with the new LED replacement bulbs, choose 15+Watt ones. If they are good for MJ it should work nicely for mitragynas. I think i will order one of those new 450W CFLs, anyone tried them?

Sure, it's more a matter of space and power consumption probably.. I have pseudo hoarded things in the past and have a really tidy apartment now... if I let myself go I will probably have a jungle here at some point. 450W CFL sounds nuts man!

Yes is sounds nuts. I have only seen them at 250 or 300W before. I hope it was legit, the 450´s was almost same $$$ as the 300W ones. Would be fun to hear if anyone tested them yet.
My Red Vein tray shows small signs of germination. No small leaf yet but a day or so before i usually see this mini green growths. It looks like a thin hair, 0.5 to 1mm long and green. After i see this the small leafs usually appears after a day or so. And now there is these signs. Hopefully i see red veins in a few days.
I know about hoarding. I have some problems throw things away that i might potentially use in the future. This has led to quite much stuff. I have a new big house now but i will fill it in notime, im sure. There is allready many plants, and i want more.

Cool! I sowed some of my french Rifat again too (what else am I going to do with seeds that are only going to get bunker) and tried harder this time to create good conditions.. I have exactly one Rifat seedling now I guess I'm expecting the other red vein strain too, I doubt it will do worse than the rifat, lol, so i should have the same 3 types..
domestic biodiversity ftw
