I'll let you know for sure. With imported kratom 3 or 4 grams dry should be enough for you to feel it if you have no tolerance. I will be trying 6 - 8g of homegrown tomorrow morning, that's my usual morning dose with commercial kratom so I'll be able to compare.

That's what we'd like to determine, have you only ever tried your own kratom, ferrel? To me it would make sense that kratom harvested on old trees growing in their natural habitat should be more potent, but at the same time you can't beat the freshness of homegrown.

I still haven't tried homegrown and I have oodles of dried leaf. I'll try it Tuesday. A lot of the stuff I harvested 3 weeks ago was from my in ground tree and a couple in huge tubs. I really hope I get some flowers next year on the GM and BB. Most of my plants are going in the ground next year once I get water set up out there I'll have them on automatic timers since I don't live where I'm putting them yet. You'll have a box when you get home Ferrel

So here's the verdict on the kratom harvested on 5 months old seedlings, I took about 8g this morning, on an empty stomach, as late as possible after waking up.
It definitely was enough to remove any withdrawal symptoms and make me functional for the morning, but it wasn't super potent either. I'd say it was better than some of the low quality commercial kratom but far from being as good as some good quality indo kratom.
Something that really stood out is doesn't smell or taste at all like regular kratom, it has a much more green/herbal taste and doesn't have the characteristic tea smell. At first I thought this confirms the rumor that kratom is usually cut with macha tea, but then I remembered that I've had commercial crushed leaf that smelled and tasted just like regular powdered kratom so I don't think that's it. Probably just needs a bit of curing to get the chlorophyll taste out of there.

I've been away from my plants for a bit over a week. The caretakers of my 16 mitragyna seedlings and 1 3dm tall mitragyna managed to kill 14 of the seedlings due to lack of water. They also managed to kill my Ephedra Fragilis. All in all, what they achieved in killing in less than two weeks is pretty impressing. They took good care of the larger mitragyna speciosa. It's grown a new set of top leaves since I last saw him. I'll probably sow some kratom seeds tomorrow.

Shit happens. I'm glad they tried taking care of the plants as I had no one else whom could've helped me. New seeds has been set in the ground, and I'll be back where I was in a few weeks

Lovely leaf

One of the leaf sets has a heavily red color, especially on it's veins. I've had the plant fairly close to its light source. I think PhilNotBill once said that he thought that red veins and leafs were connected to a too high amount of light. I've since moved the lights further away. I'll snap a picture of the red leaf later and show you

Looking good Micaele Maybe light plays a role in vein color but honestly genetics definitely seem to play one too. I've had all my seedlings in the same conditions and some rifats are a lot more red than others, and my red indos are more red than the reddest rifats.
I potted-up this table of aero cuttings yesterday, 100% success, 9/9. Seems like smaller cuttings root faster than big ones though.

Also encountered this cool little ladybug, just ladybugging on one of my plants. Probably the last one I'll see this year as it's getting chilly.

The leafs on my trees start out with dark red veins. As the leafs mature the vein color changes. Red, pink, green, white or white, green. Temperature also effects the leaf color. New growth that was subjected to 'cold' weather was a purplish color. I'm going to start taking better notes on growing kratom. I'm sure people are going to run into the same problems I have. But nothing that hasn't been cured.

I see that. Hope you, your loved ones, house, and garden have no harm done mate. Your Kratoms will grow a lot with all the rain. Mine shot up like weeds after Harvey, the wind was not too rough on them. Sending some prayer for you dude.

I wish you well Lipa - hopefully most of it will be a lot of rain and some heavy winds but no damage to your place or gardens.
