Congrats Micaele RVT is a gorgeous plant to grow. I found mine to be a bit delicate but lovely to have around nonetheless. If you are working w the same strain, it'll be very very clear why red vein Thai is called that. Usually vein color can vary from leaf to leaf, but rvt is a very unique plant. You'll see
And thank you very much. As to how many, I've honestly lost count. Somewhere between 11-15 I wanna say

I don't think plugging your shop is in compliance w the rules of this forum. Not hating, I take krat everyday. And who doesn't like maeng da seeds? But regardless that sort of thing is not allowed in here.

At the beginning of this spring this was just a small sickly cutting with only a handful of leaves and they where discolored and falling off. Now I can hardly believe this is the same plant. It was rocking out in the greenhouse heavily watered, high humidity in direct sunlight at very high temps.

Lush and sexy
Glad she's on the up and up. Krats weird like that. My oldest had this one year that it looked so bad I thought I was going to lose it. The next season it came on like a freight train. And now its kind of sad looking again, whereas some others who were sad before are now thriving hard. And so the cycle of panic attacks and shitty leaves continues...
Not sure where I'm going w this. But lovely plants.. And photograph as well kudos my good man

I've given up on trying to keep my plants growing indoors during the winter. Every attempt has failed so far. My basement is just too cool and dry to keep them going. I've put a few in an unused bathroom in the basement with a 250HPS, but it seems like the bugs like it more than the plants. I just rooted two cuttings of a new strain, so I'll try to keep them awake this winter. My neighbor gave me a Phototron, so I'll put them in there and keep them upstairs where it's warmer. Hopefully they will be ready for a good start next summer.

What strain did you get? I've had 'success' over wintering them but different story in south texas..warm and humid. I kept them at 70+ degrees inside. In the garage I used a heater that doesn't use a fan because that just drys them out. You want a oil filled radiant fin heater.

I got the AOE RVT. I've been after it for 3 years, so it will get special treatment this winter while the others go dormant in the basement.

This year I also got what was said to be seed grown Rifats, and I also got what was called a Red Vein Sumatra that was grown from seed. They were rooted well when I got them, and they will be well established when winter hits. I may keep them upstairs too. I think the dryness of winter is just as detrimental as the cooler temps. I doubt I can keep them happy all winter. Secondly, these plants have all been outside, so I'll bring bugs in with them. The lack of predators indoors will lead to an explosion of aphids and/or spider mites eventually.

Spider mites, aphids and other parasites can be a much bigger problem indoors than outdoors because of the lack of beneficial predators that feed on them.
I'd make sure to spray some preventative every other once in a while to be safe, especially with such rare genetics.

Yes it does the bugs will get out of hand if not carefully watched. Man that's awesome, I'm jeleous. I've been looking for new Kratoms. I have the funds to buy them if I can find them! Look into the heaters I think I paid $30 for mine and it works great down to about 20 degrees in garage that was the coldest it got last year in a freak '100 year' freeze. We are about to get pounded by a hurricane I think my Kratoms will be fine and love the ridiculous amount of rain about to fall..only good thing about this weather. Take pictures of the plants man. I had an AOE briefly..supposed to be getting another one.

Is this your first Mitragyna? How old is it, did you start it from seed or cutting?

My first and started from seed. It's one year and 7 months old... Holy crap, time flies...
It's been through a lot of catastrophes and I lost all its brothers. It's the sole survivor but I'm sure it's the toughest. He's very little and stunted for a one year and seven months old. That's how you see my care is terrible.
