Which plant?
The sickly Rifat that had yellowing leaves with red spots, edges, and blotches?
Or
The others too?

I will see what I can do. Might grow it inside using a makeshift humidity tent that'll also hopefully help keep warmth in. Will invest in maybe a small greenhouse, with a warm-mist humidifier in the future.

You know what guys, why keep the plants in doors when I can use an outdoor greenhouse? I mean, think about it. Wood is cheap, plastic is fairly cheap. All I gotta do is build a frame (luckily I have plenty of wood working tools), cover that shit in plastic, and voila. If its small I can literally just pick it up to water the baby. Once it gets bigger, I can fit it with a small "window" or maybe a small door if in order.
The Humidity here in my city is decent (aside from during winter). The question is, do you think a greenhouse would do a good enough job at keeping heat in? If temps reach average of 18º by day and like 8º by night at the harshest of winters here, do you think it could survive that? If not, that's fine. Ill bring the plant inside during the winters, but any other season here, days go from 22-30º and nights go from like 10º-15º. What do you all think?
Edit: The temps are all in Celsius btw!

Hmmm, you're right on the cusp with that 8˚C. I know some who lost a bunch to 9˚C aka 48˚F. The heat retention of the greenhouse/cover would be greatly dependent on the type/build/insulation. There's a few different ways to add heat to an outdoor greenhouse, although not my forte, but I'd love to hear what you come up with. If you can keep temps above 10˚C/50˚F, I think you'd have a chance. There may be someone here with more experience in that area that could chime in....

Does anybody know what lights to use indoors? I've noticed a lot of LED grow lights advertise not getting hot, but in this case I do want a heat buildup.

Cheap $100 greenhouse heaters are available. The solar ones are a little bit more but look super convenient.

The above picture is from late last summer. Most of what you see is 4 plants. The latgest one in the back left is a 2 year old Bumble Bee. These things get big fast.

Here are my plants in their winter location. I pruned them pretty severely before bringing them in this year. They are slowly going dormant and many are dropping leaves.

url=https://files.shroomery.org/files/16-48/073622605-IMG_2349.jpg] [/url] Here they are in their winter home. The light is just from a ceiling fan and just used for the picture. They are slowing down, dropping leaves, and will be dormant as it gets cooler in my basement. Larger plants tolerate this better than young clones. They didn't wake up fully until June last summer, and my Green Malay took even longer. Winters are hard for my plants, and it's just not practical to supplement artificial light for all of them. I usually see insect infestations during the winter too, whether under lights or not. It all clears up when they go outside in the spring. I don't go for growth during the winter, just survival.

Here is my kratom seedling ! He's throwing another set of leaves. I know he looks terrible... I still don't know how I managed to make him survive from seed to now... Hope one day he'll look as beautiful as the amazing trees we see in this thread. I still have seeds left. I think I'm gonna sow them outdoors in a mini-greenhouse this spring.

It's the second new set of leaves since last month's catastrophe when he dropped all the leaves because of three days of drought.

You're setting that seedling up perfectly for an explosive summer! Trust me, once it goes out in the sun, you'll have to repot it every month if not more often. Just keep it alive and growing indoors, and it could easily be 6 feet tall or more in a year, and you could have dozens of cuttings to keep and trade. New genetics from a seed grown plant would be highly prized by the rest of us that just grow the 5 commonly traded clones.

Hey Ferrel sorry I took so long to respond.
The little Rifat with all the red spots and red edges almost stalled out completely until just a few days ago and it's still growing extremely slow, Its still very pail light green ish yellow ish. 2 sets of leaves started growing, it has 2 stems, with no spots or red edges so I picked all the ugly leaves off of it and only left the 4 new leaves.
So its not healthy at all but its looking better. The edges of the new leaves are still curled upward. Well I cant really say curled up because its very subtle but the edges are pointing up a little, instead of down as they normally do.
The tall Lanky Bumble b with the really deformed/munched on leaves, remember they would pop out of thew leaf bud like this, the one I accidentally knocked off a new growth from the lower end of the stem, this one is actually doing much better. The new leaves havent quite started coming out completely normal yet but they are much better and I predict that the next set of leaves should come out completely normal. Its defiantly starting to pick up speed, its starting to grow pretty fast. There are a bunch of new growths coming in all down the stem, it wont be lanky for long. Its going to start filling in. I did however find green aphids on one of the smallest new growth leaves and they stunted that leaves growth a little bit. There might have also been white flies on the undersides of the upper leaves. I will be spraying them with a neem, sulfur, and pyrethrins spray I will be mixing up myself. The only thing that bothers me a little about this plant is how much it leans over to the side. But its doing much better and up until today all Ive done is dust it with diatomaceous earth. This is all I had on hand. But like I said starting tomorrow Ill be spraying it with that cocktail I described a second ago.
Last but not least the smaller Bumble b that was also getting its leaves munched on by something while inside the leaf bud (not as bad as the tall bumble b) was also dusted with diatomaceous earth on many occasions and has made very good progress, its also starting to pick up speed but this one is already growing perfectly normal leaves unlike the tall one.
Question to all you guys...
I forget what I had read are the visual differences between Bummble bs and Rifats.
Can you guys please remind me what the difference between them is so that I can identify what I have. I think the vendor I got them from mislabeled them.
I know one has rounder leaves and the other has slightly more elongated leaves.
So which is which?
Both of these came labeled Bumble b but one has rounder leaves and the other longer leaves.
I will try to post some new pics soon so that you can see the differences between them and the progress theyve made.
