Hey guys i put my large kratom in the ground i was having problems with. One thing worried me. it had been in a large 15-20 ish gal pot for 4-5 months. It seemed to have barely any root system. this was a seed grown plant. I've seen tomato plants with a better root system.

Is there even any qualitative difference between different rooting compounds (auxins I guess)? There may very well be quantitative differences but you would just solve the different dosages vs their different potencies.
I think IAA is the natural hormone... then IBA is a popular synthetic PGR and then NAA is another such type of PGR but I don't think it has advantages and is just nice to autoclave (like in tissue culture practices).

Your plants are looking swell, Spellbound! You're getting close to the period when their grow rate will really take off. In about 3 months your plants could be up to a 3 ft tall in the correct conditions. If I were you, I'd get ready to replant them into individual pots. If you keep them in the same pot, their root system will intertwine and separating them will be tough and you'll risk damaging them. If you replant them now, be careful and lift each root individually. When they're out of the soil, you'll notice that the leaves will droop almost immediately. When repotted, give them as much humidity as possible and the leaves will straighten out fairly quick. Always nice to see some that more people are getting into growing M. Speciosa. Good luck to you!
It'd also be nice to see more of us upload some nice pictures of our plants and get them into Picture of the Month.

So I started last winter with one bumblebee Vietnam from that I took several clones them again this spring I got 10 more small plants (Indonesia, Borneo, Malaysia, Amazon) I’ve been cloning all summer I’ve hit a few bumps with cloning problems (bacteria/mold) and just failures to root but I’m now finally starting to hit my clones consistently

Id like to Donate #4 or #6 to a botanical garden so they can get huge and live happy lives for every one to see! I just dont know how to go about asking. I see where you can donate money and supplies but not plants. Maybe I should call. It's a few around.
I wonder what would happen if you just planted it inside the botanical garden, tropical section, and put a nice small sign that said "Mitragyna Speciosa, donated my BattyKoda 2019". Maybe they just continue taking care of it. All workers on the Botanical garden cant know every plant they have. Until their botanical expert (every botanical garden have one i think) notice it and then it´s a 50/50 chance they keep it. It´s worth a try.

Thats what I'm going to have to do I guess.
None of the three around me would take one. I sent emails, called, sent pictures, and I even offered to make small donations. Nada.
They just wanted plants/seed they could grow & sell to turn a profit Or donations to support the garden.

I just took 3 cuttings from the tips of three branches that had some pretty new and green growth. Right after I stripped the bottoms of them and put them in water, the leaves kinda fell over now they look all sad and limp. Is that normal or did I screw up all ready?

They are definitely tricky bastards to clone I’ve been having a hell of a time the last two months I still don’t understand what’s wrong but I’ve definitely hit a wall with my clones

Cool thanks man. I cut it between the 2nd and 3rd node then cut the bottom 2 leaves off so it jist has the top two. I guess we'll see.

Try different methods. I did some in water and some in coir I want to say. I also used rooting hormone on a few. Change your water every few days. Make sure to trim about a inch above the infection if you see any rot setting in. (Black)
The slow acclimation seemed to help imo. I used a tote then replaced the lid with a sgfc lid then changed the tote out for the sgfc then removed the sgfc lid then outside.
Treat them like ladies.
Aiko They will do fine and if not it's always next year. Give them some humidity and no direct sunlight.
I'll try to read up on taking cuttings so I will know wth your talking about

I have them in both router pods and aero mist both failing. I recently downgraded the amount of light they get because I was giving them way too much but ever since I’ve got nothing how much light should I be giving the clones?

I never gave mine direct light. They were under a bush up against the house where they only got ambient sun light.
Try just plain water or coir/light perlite. Maybe get some rooting hormone.
