Having one hell of a time rooting. I have rooted many plants and for some reason these just keep sitting for weeks and eventually turn brown and die. Should I have them on a heat mat. I have them in peat pods in trays with high humidity dome. Had the in a window and just moved them under lights.

It's a Malaysian strain which grows a bit smaller leaves than usual but is said to be at least twice as potent. This info comes straight from a Malaysian kratom farmer a friend is in contact with.
@shmizzle that's amazing man, keep doing what you're doing!
Any pictures MG? I'd love to see the foliage.

Interesting. The website I just saw led me to believe they are more finicky in terms of temp and light. So has no one grown them for a decent amount of time to know how the fare.

I think I know what website you're talking about, do they sells seeds? If so I'm the one who designed it and it's operated by another member here haha
We had a first batch that was shared with fellow shroomerites but the seeds turned out to not be viable, no one got a single sprout. The other seeds from this Malaysian farmer were very nice and fresh though, many of us got Green & Red Malay seedlings from that.
This was close to a year ago. Now we received a new batch and we're testing germination, fingers crossed.

The new DJ batch has good germination rate. I've got about 30-50 sprouts, 5 days after seeds were sown. It's going to be interesting to see the growth rate, as it's supposed to be a bit slower than other strains

Well shit. I guess you live in a warm ass climate. I was hoping you were going to leave it potted so we could compare!
I'm counting chickens. I haven't actually grown any yet...

Not sure mike, can you post a photo where we can maximize it and see it in detail?
I should have done this a long time ago, but i've been thinking about what grow lights to get for my trees. I have a 6FT and a 4FT Kratom trees. Would 1 300w Full Spectrum LED light be enough for both of them?

I will try and get a better pic loaded.
I am currently testing 10- 6500k and 4- 3000k LED 4' strips together...they aren't grow lights but I think I am covering the needed spectum and they are super bright. I will let you know how they do.
Is the 300 watt the advertised wattage or is it the actual wattage?

Bumblebee and Rifat are so similar you may never know which one is which. The best I can offer is to wait until next summer, Bumblebee branches more profusely than all of the others.

Its that time to cut, root, and maintain at small size until spring. Just in case a blizzard hits and kills my trees.. But after this past winter I don't think I have much to worry about the trees endured some 'once in a lifetime' lows in my neck of the woods.
Bumble bee won the growth contest this year. All my plants were killed down to little stubby stumps. Bumble bee has grown from that to a 14'+ tall and 10'+ wide tree and still reaching for the stars. Green Malaysian did good too but definitely took longer to recoup from winter. I like how big GM leafs get but don't like it's whining when it starts getting cold and dry.

Here's my Kratom plants 3 months after getting cuttings. I made about 10-11 cuttings and 4 or 5 died when hardening them to the humidity here. Now there's 6 of them growing new leaves and looking healthy.
