You have some nice plants lil! Unfortunately I think I killed my one and only cutting. It went from inside to full shade outside and just went to shit.

I don't think you killed it. It may have dropped leaves, but it will come back. I have found that these plants are sensitive to drastic changes in light and humidity. Just put it back outside in full shade. It can still acclimate to outdoor light it just takes a little bit. What does it look like now?

A stick that's been planted. Lol! I brought it back inside. It's starting to dip down into the 50s at night here. That might be a little cool for it.  If it pulls through I will slowly acclimate to outdoors next spring.

I'm hoping to have a small greenhouse by next spring too. So that would help out greatly. Thanks for the words of encouragement!

With so little time left in the growing season, your best bet would be to keep it inside and let it acclimate in there as it has been. As said, make it comfortable.

I've left my clones indoors and they took about a month or so after rooting to start pushing new foilage. But they are taking off like a rocket now.

I'm still learning as well but just seemed smarter to me. Acclimating it back and forth in such a short window sounds like a disaster for a young kratom clone.

Mine are staying indoors until next spring. But even then I'm keeping one inside just to experiment.

Good advice that I should have taken MF.

In the meantime I will stalk the market place for cuttings.  Even if this one makes it, I can't just have one. It will be lonely.

Mine will be intimidating acclimating outside next year due to spending so much time indoors. It's an intimidating plant to grow for me because I hold it in such high regard. But it seems to be a tough plant based on the info from this thread.

Definetly don't give up on it. I had just a stick as well and finally got fed up with not seeing any new growth. Pulled it up and it had 3 or 4 fat white roots on it. That made my stomach hurt.

Great plants lilFish! and others too

Today I sowed most of the Daun Jambu seeds I had left in one final try and sprayed with GA3 to hopefully germinate at least one of em..
But from what i also hear from others it just seems they are dead. :'(

Other varieties around the house are doing well tho! Their leaves are still much more delicate and without such deep veins as I mostly see here.

Like I always do I will try to grow each pot of plants a bit differently. Just a couple have their own pot, one of them a quite big one.. Will sorta bonsai one, prune others in various ways.

Eventually I wanna put most of them into a humid grow tent but first I need to turn the LED strips in the tent I have into cooltubes (sigh...) and also need to switch to another tent cause this one is truly a broken down piece of shit with design flaws and I have complained to the vendor.

Here's some updated pics of a couple of my "public" trees growing in Los Angeles county.

This one is on the other side of the sidewalk on a pretty busy street.
The dude behind it is a tad over 6 feet.

Here's the ones in front of my shop...

Damn your customers have been eating on your Kratom tree at your shop. It's only got leaves at the top where they are out of reach. Have any seed pods formed on the one growing on the sidewalk?

Here's my bumblebee he's about 4 1/2 feet talk. But needs a bigger pot. Current pot is only 3 gallon. I leave him in standing water sometimes a nutrient solution and he seems to like it. I took cutting in case he doesn't do so well this winter

Ha! that's what we get for not answering the door.
It's ok, it's a public service tree

Unfortunately no seed pods yet... Surprisingly the one by the sidewalk didn't have any this year. Maybe next year.

Your BB looks great!
A few years ago I experimented with growing a kratom tree completely submerged in water alongside some blue lotus and fish. It did great and actually thrived all summer.

It's a Malaysian strain which grows a bit smaller leaves than usual but is said to be at least twice as potent. This info comes straight from a Malaysian kratom farmer a friend is in contact with.

@shmizzle that's amazing man, keep doing what you're doing!

Seems that the smaller leave size and the comparable shape reminded them of guava, the growing region of which originates from Middle to North America but extends also to Thailand and Malaysia.

It is really great that these are becoming available!

What I don't really understand about the rules is whether it is against them to name a vendor for an item of a certain special variety which is not sold by the sponsors.
Like, where do you draw the line? Because technically the item would not be available from the sponsors even if other varieties are.
