spores temp germination rate theory?
    #23692557 - 09/29/16 10:48 PM (7 years, 3 months ago)

On a sterile media would cube spores germinate any faster on 72f degrees vs 52f or 90f? I was reading a research paper on morel, azure and other wood lovers actually germinate fastest at 58f degrees and the hotter is got past 87f was near zero germination.
I know cubes are not wood lover nor cold weather fruiter. But does anyone know there best germination rate in theory.
And theory between the different sterile media being different kinda of plates, grains , liquids?

The government doesn't pay you enough to find this out on your own?

In all my past grows with P. Cubensis- I can state that any type of mycelial growth and any type of fruiting growth I have seen at lower temperatures have always grown slower than those I have governed at higher temperatures.
However, I am still slightly unsure what your question actually is...

I have played around with temps anywhere from 63F to 80F.

If there is a question you have about growth in the above area-I'd be happy to answer. However, I think it is pretty well advertised at this point...

70-75F is the perfect point for much of a P. cubensis mycelial lifespan---from spores all the way to fruits...

Was this your question? (If not-I apologize, please shove me in the right direction...)

Myc growth is another matter then geminating spores. And no government isn't paying me enough for that. I didnt budget temperature control equipment. If you don't budget it before approval then you can't get it . But i do have 3 laser thermometer on the way.

Did you see what you just typed....

This is a plethora of bullshittery...

No government entity would EVER give you any funds for this.

I literally cannot tell you enough how stupid this shit sounds.

Please... Start over with a new account- when you grow the balls to do this correctly yourself.

I laugh at your government god damn bull shit.

It isn't true. If it is... PM a mod your proof-have them PM me and tell me that your shit is realistic and I will write a written apology here in this forum immediately.

Until then, your government fund shit is total bullshit to me.

If you were the type of person that would have federal/state approval there would be a swarm of mycologists all around you that would be feeding you all types of amazing information.

GTFOH....

Your shit is laughable at most...

I liked it til the edit  there's very few people with a license to research this, and they're some epic mycologists. I too would love to see the proof

wait the government paid 3 unqualified individuals to do research? hmmmm. also btw if you did work for the government they would of given you a a card to track your expenditures.
another thing is they wouldn't hire someone that doesn't have a mycology degree. sense you're on here and asking (good majority of non micology degree) individuals about things I would think would be covered in school.
pics or it didn't happen.

Tump confuses me.
He posts a mixture of 50 percent average advice/good info and 50 percent complete bullshit.

I'm honestly surprised he doesn't have more negative ratings.
He hasn't said enough stupid shit for me to give him a bad rating yet...

As for the original question, I always germinate at 70F.
The few times that my grow room has dipped below that always slows down myc growth and germination speed.

Workman has proof because he's a mycologist with a degree, and working for an awesome company. Who do you work for? What are your credentials? What makes you certified to do this? I don't think RR even got to be funded by the government to do this.

Oh and he doesn't ask questions on basic mycology. He tells the people here exactly what environment works best for germinating and growing things in/on.

next thing he is gonna say is that he is RR's clone, created by the government in a secret lab. Licensed to grow felonies by same said government that gestated him inside a cow somewhere in China and they spliced his RR genetics with mushroom DNA so that he can actually talk to the little mushies.....lol
