Stalled colonization (Pic)

Hey I spawned pint of rye berries to 50/50 peat coir mix 1:2
The picture is 14 days of colonization. No improvement after day 7.
1.I heard that it is not uncommon for coir to only reach 90% colonization? 2.should I keep waiting for full colonization or just fruit it?
edit: I realise there is green mold on the left of the tray. I plan to scoop it out with a spoon since it is so small and everything is colonized. I don't want to have to toss this all out.

If it's green, then it's already all over the tray. Scooping it is just gonna spread it more.

I know, that wasn't my question.
I scooped out a speck of mold on my last tray and set it outside in a shopping bag to fruit with no issues.

Get it outside at the very least.

Interesting question though, does removing the mold lessen the chance of the other 3 billion mold spores in the room from germinating?

Well, If I remove half of the green thats three billion spores instead of six.
I find it slows it down the contaminants. The reason they say don't cut it out is that it reinforces bad habits, and is given to people assuming they are going to keep them inside.

Don't fuck with the mold. I promise. No matter how careful you are, it's gonna spread like wildfire. Honestly, I put some bleach toilet cleaner gel stuff on a green mold spot and it never spread. I also mixed it with salt. Try that. Make a salt paste with bleach water. Apply it to the mold. Forget about it.

You guys are goofy with the cutting out sections, using salt pastes to stop it from spreading...why do not just cover it back up with some substrate and let it do its thing somewhere away from your projects? That seems easier to me.

-------------------- The biggest trip of my life was realizing all of the events and actions described in posts made by this account were never real and had never actually happened, but were instead the delusional ramblings of a severely mentally ill human being. I just had to move on for my own good. I love you all.

I wouldn't really fuck with mold. This hobby generates new trays/tubs/cakes what ever your doing so quickly it just doesn't seem worth the risk to the operation to try and save a single tray. I mean, do you need a new flush of shrooms so badly that your willing to risk infecting your entire area? I like to bury contaminated subs in the forest in different places! you can be like johnny mushroom spore!

I have been in a bit of a pinch lately, and my cooker can only hold a couple pint jars at a time. I might try your johnnyshroom idea out
to everyone talking about mold the tray is and always has been outside dammit! Instead of discussing colonisation you guys just start talking about tossing out trays.
I just harvested and everything was great.

You don't feed contams. Salt isn't gonna stop it, just slows it enough to finish a flush. Once it goes outside it's not gonna matter what you do with it.
