Is the reason for Socrates' fame and influence related to Alexander's conquests?

I'm a history noob who developed a fascination with it over the past couple years but doesn't have as much time to read/learn about it as I'd like to.

I know a lot of Greek culture was probably spread due to Alexander the Great's conquests, but I was wondering if Socrates' influence and renown in particular might be attributable to this, considering that Aristotle was Alexander's tutor, and part of Socrates' "ancestry" so to speak.

Without Aristotle's relationship with Alexander, could it be argued that Socrates would not be nearly as influential as he was/still is?

No Plato not Alexander the great

especially the writings of his students Plato

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"This article is about the classical Greek philosopher. For other uses of Socrates, see Socrates (disambiguation).

Socrates (/ˈsɒkrətiːz/;[2] Greek: Σωκράτης [sɔːkrátɛːs], Sōkrátēs; 470/469 – 399 BC)[1] was a classical Greek (Athenian) philosopher credited as one of the founders of Western philosophy. He is an enigmatic figure known chiefly through the accounts of classical writers, especially the writings of his students Plato and Xenophon and the plays of his contemporary Aristophanes. Plato's dialogues are among the most comprehensive accounts of Socrates to survive from antiquity, though it is unclear the degree to which Socrates himself is "hidden behind his 'best disciple', Plato".[3]"
