I haven't had this happen in years, the key is super complex/ experimental jazz fusion and progressive rock Here is a tune I listen to daily:
Klaus Doldinger's Passport • Schirokko (1973) (Jazz fusion)
The drums, bass, guitar, and horns are just all so tight and groovy The double drum solo is amazing too.
-------------------- Don't worry about me, I've got all that I need. And I'm singing my song to the sky You know how it feels, With the breeze of the sun in your eyes. Not minding that time's passing by I've got all and more, My smile, just as before. Is all that I carry with me I talk to myself, I need nobody else. I'm lost and I'm mine, yes I'm free

Here is some of my favorite current "classic" rock:
Chris Robinson Brotherhood "Narcissus Soaking Wet" Live
I love the whole band but the rhythm/ lead guitar dynamic is one of my all time favorites and their keys player is very inspiring and groovy
Some awesome harmonica on that track too towards the end.

ELOY - The Sun Song (Live 1977) (prog rock)
-------------------- Don't worry about me, I've got all that I need. And I'm singing my song to the sky You know how it feels, With the breeze of the sun in your eyes. Not minding that time's passing by I've got all and more, My smile, just as before. Is all that I carry with me I talk to myself, I need nobody else. I'm lost and I'm mine, yes I'm free

wow. I never would have guessed that was two different drummers in that solo. Seeing them play made that tune great.

Yeah they're timing is practically robotic. I love watching them watch each other play
They are a German group and for some reason I get the feeling they did a lot of speed
