Is this Destroying Angel?

I'm completely ignorant about mushrooms; however, my wife grew up in China and insists upon finding edible fungi 'just like home.'
I've tried to ID these with books and Internet, but she's still not convinced and I'm not certain. Freshly picked, the caps were the texture and color of the white mushrooms we buy I the store. So, maybe these are the same and I'm being too cautious.
Habitat: Found in the grass in the front yard. We live on the flood plain in Chilliwack.
Gills: Color is white/tan, gills are not attached
Stem: Length on the largest one is 4 inches / 9 cm, and about 1 cm in diameter, color: white, texture smooth, hollow, tapered with a bulbous bottom.

Bruising: It does not show any color when bruised.
Other information: Scent of the mushroom: pleasant
I appreciate your help saving my wife from certain death Haha.

The bulbous base is a feature of the Amanita genus, so I'd definitely avoiding eating these unless a trusted identifier here gives you the go ahead.

Im not sure about amanita, it's possible, but I don't see any Volta remnants really. Look's kinda like leucoagricus naucinus to me. Still, dont eat, wait for TI.

I bet that's it. The photos I see online are exactly right. We're not eating them, but I hope for a TI. We see these on lawns often, this last week of September. Clearly, I need to get my wife into a course or a club.

Even the most "experienced" mycologist's may ingest deadly species. While I'm not saying don't get your wife professional help by means of a mushroom teacher/ class, it certainly will help; it is not a guarantee, however.

Looks like a type of Lepiota to me. The bulbs look too smooth for Amanita, but not completely positive.

Yes those are destroyers for sure. You can see the cup on a few of them. Do not eat these. They are beautiful, but that shit will kill you man. As some get older the cup becomes less prevalent. In the third picture the one in the back up top right side, you can clearly see the cup at the bottom. That is a Warning. I would NEVER recommend eating any type of solid white Amanita species. There is a false death cap that is edible, but telling the difference without a microscope analysis is playing russian roulette only the gun has a clip instead of a revolving mechanism. 1 cap is enough to kill you, and it is a very violent and painful death.
