My culture fridge was a virtual graveyard

Tossed (after trying) 25 plates- with more that don't look great. Still have some good plates but my library is practically wiped. Trying some crazy things with shrunken, dried cultures in a death gasp of a chance to preserve.

Don't think my fridge was cold enough. Hopefully corrected. Need to start making slants. Ugg, very depressing. Also noticed those plates with thicker agar were still ok- will have to consider for masters.
Live. Learn. And then get Loads.
Still have yellow and red reishi, enoki, perhaps bsoy2 and 012a (crossing my fingers, but I took clones today from fruits of each so it will be preserved) Pheonix, my 2 slants (still need help with how to properly use them) and a couple LC's to trade to help get my culture library going again. Also just dropped a bunch of cultures- once they grow out I'll have some more to trade.

That sucks. Don't give up on some of the dried ones. I have put them on agar then let them sit a few days. Then using sterilized water put a couple drops on the mycelium. They may come around, give them time.

Yeah I made a few transfers- sterilized water sounds like a good idea might have to try that out.

You're in Canada right? All I'd ask is that you pay shipping. Should be somewhere around 10 USD.

I appreciate it but those actually survived for me! Thanks though!
