What Hindu spirituality means to me 2

I know people like to tease me about my spirituality and the OM and Namaste talk, and that's totally fine with me.
I just wanted to say though, spirituality (yoga, Meditation, chanting mantras , burning incense, smudging sage, rituals and ceremonies, worshiping at an altar, prayer, reading scriptures etc) has really been so powerful and profound in my life.
Through spiritual practices and a spiritual worldview , I have learned to achieve states of inner peace, relaxation and serenity superior to anything I ever got from benzos. I have learned to cultivate states of spiritual joy and ecstasy that would be incredibly popular as a drug If you could put it in a pill. I have learned to calm and quiet my mind, to cope with all the insecurities , anxieties and sufferings of life. I have discovered an identity in my spiritual life that literally means the world to me.
Through lucid dreaming I have learned to travel to other dimensions and experience mind blowing visions and shamanic journeys far more mind blowing than any psychedelic trip I have ever had, including DMT.
My spiritual practice has allowed me to get high without drugs. It has given me solutions , real profound solutions , to all the mental and emotional problems that otherwise hinder my quality of life.
I am completely sincere and non ironic in my Hindu spirituality.
I married into this Religion, but it literally means the world to me.
If I didn't have this spiritual path and practices I know my anxiety and depression would be crushing and my addictions would be out of control.
I wish everyone could discover this wonderful magic for themselves, but I know Most are not interested , which is fine.
I truly believe in yoga, in union with the divine, that we are all one. When I say Namaste I am truly acknowledging the divine spark within the person who I am talking to that we share, the universal soul that we are all facets of.
When I say I am truly pointing to the divine peace of that mystic syllable, and the divine Universal soul that is of one essence with it
When I am disciplined and deep into my spiritual practice I feel awake, alive, full of joy and peace and clarity and health and wellness.
When I forget about it or abandon it I sink into depression, hopelessness, sloth and darkness. When I neglect my spiritual path I feel despair and bleak spiritual sickness .
For me spirituality is the true medicine for the sickness of this age that we all feel.
I am not saying this to convert anyone , and please feel free to mock it make fun of me all you want it's totally cool.
I just feel like I have never really expressed what all this Hindu / Buddhist stuff means to me and why I talk about it so much.
I don't feel like I expressed it well here either but I tried and I know this is another crazy long essay so I'll stop now. I apologize for the TL, DR
Much love

lol... just kidding, I dont care what you believe, you have a belief and if you feel it's beneficial to your life then I'm fine with that. you have to answer to only yourself. if you are happy then I'm happy for you.

I'm involved in the spiritual community in Vancouver. Participated and helped in quite a few ceremonies. So I totally get where you are coming from and have many friends that share your beliefs and practices.
Most posters on here probably wouldn't or couldn't have the discipline to be so deeply spiritual. I know I don't.
So ya, obviously you are going to get a little ribbing for it, but keep being yourself. I'm sure you've helped a few people on the boards here with some inspiration.

Im sort of new and like I said have to find time to transition into this peaceful lifestyle properly. It has totally changed me for the better so far but I need to fully commit. It keeps me happy in this crazy world and at peace. Ive never been more content. Feel free to pm me sometime. Im going to bed and Ill forget about this by morning.

right-hand paths are merely aesthetic.
discipline to maintain anarchic egregores that do not hold as much power as their adherents readily do in their left-hand.

Thank you all for your kind responses! I really appreciate it
It does/did indeed take a lot of discipline, and the only thing that kept me coming back to it was the real true sincere belief that meditation could get me somewhere, really solve my problems, truly help me.
I have always really believed in the idea of enlightenment, that there is a state of mind available to us where all our suffering, desire, fear and clinging can be transcended, where inner peace is total and where compassion and wisdom and joy find their fullest expression.
That and awareness of the pain and fear in existence and the desperate need to have an escape.
And as I looked around I found only two escapes in all of existence- drugs, and spirituality.
Both can take us to other worlds, both can bring us calm and peace, both can bring us joy and love.
And I have availed myself of both. But of course spirituality has many advantages.
It is healthy, non toxic, non addictive (well, sort of. Its a healthy addiction), free, and can create permanent lifelong changes where drugs can only manage a temporary change usually.
I also realized the states of mind drugs at the best of times brought me to, like ketamine or psychedelics, was the same state of mind the Yogis and Mystics and Rishis and Sages were getting to.
But they had total control of the process. Like a mystic yogi can leave his body at will and fly through the cosmos.
He can have astral projections and fly through the milk way in his spirit body.
He can trance out into a complete mind-silenced spirit orgasm for hours at time in absolute serenity.
Etc.
These spiritual paths lead to some wild powers and amazing pleasures.
Ketamine made me and my friend feel instant enlightenment and nirvana.
And ketamine took me to states of mystical understanding beyond comprehension. Using ketamine I entered a mystical trance where I could predict the future and manifest paranormal powers.
But the price to be paid was a few weeks in the psych ward and some major stress.
So as time goes on it becomes clear that although drugs will always be a big part of my path, you need both.
Drugs without spirituality is missing out on so much. Only spirituality and a sadhana (spiritual practice) can take the enlightenment mushrooms or LSD can give you and ground it in your reality and make it permanent and let you truly use it and grasp it.
Yoga has been shown to cause a large release of GABA.
I can attest that after a hot yoga class I am in a completely blissed out state of transcendent relaxation. I can fall asleep instantly into this deep, restful sleep. Its euphoric and amazing.
And studies have shown it actually is caused by a large release of GABA in the brain.
In other words, yoga is a drug.
Meditation has also been shown to cause permanent, beneficial changes in the functional structure of the brain, among countless other health and wellness benefits.
But meditation also can cause euphoria, deep states of euphoria, visions/hallucinations etc.
And astral projection/lucid dreaming is basically unlimited free DMT trips where you can use magic.
This shit is bananas.
The only reason people aren't making the aquistion of these powers their top priority is because they either don't know they exist or just have no idea how amazing it is and what they are missing.
And although the discipline is hard at first and you need to focus on the rewards to stay motivated, as you get into meditation and yoga you start to feel so much pleasure from it, and then you start craving that feeling, and pretty soon meditation isn't a chore you have to do with willpower its a pleasure you crave and simply satisfy your own desire for that wonderful blissed out feeling.
If anyone has any questions about yoga, meditation, chanting, religion, lucid dreaming or out of body experiences please post them here!
Also, if anyone has their own religion or spiritual path or a practice of meditation or yoga or any other spiritual practice please post it here.
Anyone out there involved in Buddhism or Hinduism likewise I would love to here from you.

There's just one thing since I don't have any money it's bring your own anal syringe, and the MXE is on Asante.
